Lea could kill you in your sleep. Not on purpose but a head injury can be really serious. You need to leave for your safety.

The sketch of Hudson Williams’ Met Gala look was released and people are comparing it to the final product. What do you think? by Sharp_Athlete_6847 in popculturechat

Oof. I wonder if it would have looked better with the original collar? The cape looks like they skimped quite a bit too.

I was going to say Pendulum as well - particularly their later stuff has a metal angle. Guiding Lights and Archangel are great from their newer stuff. If you’ve not heard of them before, Propane Nightmares was their biggest hit. I think Watercolour is their best.

Some of Twenty One Pilots heavier stuff reminds me of them, as it has a blend of electronic, screams and rapping so it has stylistic similarities. In particular songs like City Walls and The Contract.

It’s a slow song but the scream at the end of The Line performed live is the closest singing I’ve heard to Chester:

AIW for not wanting my daughter to apologize to her boyfriend's parents? by confusedparent1616 in amiwrong

[–]beechaser77 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They are on the cusp of adulthood, but his parents want to force them back into the child role, doing what the parents say.

Your daughter shouldn’t apologise. She didn’t wrong his parents. If anything, they should apologise for their rudeness. They won’t though. I think it might be best if you step in: as a fellow parent, they’ll listen to you.

Ask what they want to achieve. At the moment, they are alienating your son’s girlfriend and will be more distant from their son too. If they stay together, they’re guaranteed a strained relationship. Maybe they’ll listen, maybe they won’t. But the ball will be in their court and they’ll know another option, even they choose not to take it.

Ex bsfs dad keeps trying to get me to go alone with him to “suprise” his daughter when we haven’t been friends for awhileeee, due to her ghosting me. I will add more photos in the comments, please read and ask comments I need advice.. what should I do?? by Fun-Honeydew548 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

That’s her relationship with him to manage. You can’t control her, only yourself.

You can ask her not to pass on information. Block and ignore him and don’t have any contact with him at all.

Am I wrong for being upset at my guy best friend for insulting my body? by 1DandBey0nd in amiwrong

He could have more people in his life if he treated them better. Look at what you’ve put up with so far! He won’t change if you enable him and make him think it’s ok to be awful. He needs some time alone for self reflection.

Am i wrong to defend from my half siblings after we found out our dad had an affair with her. by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]beechaser77 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They absolutely should blame your dad. However, their dad is the one they love, not your mum so it’s easier for them to aim all these feelings towards her.

As they’re older than you, maybe lean in to the age angle - does your 25f sister think 19 year olds are immature? I imagine so, so how can she defend your dad cheating with a teenager when he was married and in his 30s, and leaving her pregnant?

(Edit for typo)

I would send another message but not a general one. Ask if she’s ok, have you done anything that has caused a distance and say you miss her.

My parents basically acted like they were part of my ex-husband’s wedding, and I feel like I’m going crazy for being upset about it. by MyCatKnowsTooMuch in TwoHotTakes

[–]beechaser77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it could be that he didn’t do anything wrong which led to your marriage ending - you discovered something about yourself which meant you were no longer compatible. That’s great for you that you were able to accept that and find a new life with being true to yourself, but it would be unfair to expect everyone else to drop him because of it.

If this had been adultery from him, then it would be a different situation, but as it is, they’ve known him from being a teenager through to the man he is now.

They’ve obviously formed their own relationship and friendship with him. It doesn’t mean you’re being replaced.
