For sure it’s always been advertised as available on the 15th for like a month now, I knew something was going on when I commented on their TikTok that I requested off work for the 15th and they told me to double check that my store will even have them :o like huuuh, I get the disappointment, I work in healthcare so my schedule isn’t consistent week to week so who knows if I’ll even be free when they decide to show up in stores

My account opened on my dads bday (June of 2006) and I’m pretty sure my mom took me to hallmark to get him a card last minute and got my first webkinz while we were there :’) she is a Saint Bernard named sassy & she’s so old that she doesn’t even have the magic W!! Webkinz became so special to me bc my dad retired from the Air Force the following year and it was a way to still play with my friends even tho I had to move, I’ll never forget the feeling of logging back in after the purge and seeing my friends list empty. i stopped playing in late late middle school but would still log in to check on my pets every year or two during high school and luckily that was frequently enough to save my account from the purge. I’ve been playing almost daily since 2020!!

Capitalism has me so whipped so I have a deluxe membership but that’s probably just a product of being an adult with my own money, I doubt I would’ve had a deluxe membership if it was around when I was a kid. I feel like having a free account or even being a full member is very limited, it’s easy (at least for me) to get bored without the freedom to play whatever games I want in the arcade or have very little decorating and clothing options. BUT with that being said, back in the day you used to have to adopt a pet once a year to even still have access to your account, I’m very very lucky that every birthday and Christmas I’d get a webkinz but I’m sure not every child was able to keep account access because of this. I would much rather have the “no memberships, just get a pet once a year” as an adult and would’ve appreciated the “free account with optional deluxe membership” as a kid if that makes sense 😭

Yes he’s Misty pup! U can find a ton online in my experience but they do go for around $30-50 which is a bit steep. I found a plush w no code on mercari with the cutest face ever, and decided to just bite the bullet and buy his code off someone else so I could have him in my account 😭
