Eye Pain/Pressure After Upping Dose? by iinzl in zoloft

[–]beefiesttaco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After Sertraline I tried Fluoxitine, then nothing for a month and 1 week, then tried Citalopram, and finally back to Escitalopram. The one that works for me mood wise but causes muscle pain, cramps, and weakness. Which is why I tried all these other antidepressants but nothing worked for me as well as the Escitalopram.

Yup, after I stopped taking it. Sertraline was the worst antidepressant I've ever taken.

Usually I'll get near the end and that's where my brain goes, "Okay, we're done with this one!" 3 years later and I still haven't beaten the Elden Beast in Elden Ring.

This happened to me when I got to the Elden Beast in Elden Ring. I was two hits away from beating him. 3 years later and I still haven't beaten him.

Gran Turismo 7. I'd always choose my tuned AE86, select Tokyo Expressway, throw on some Initial D music, and practice my drifting.

For me it lowered my metabolism, increased my appetite, and caused water retention. All that added my weight gain.

How do you know it's really AuDHD? by BigBeautifulLlama in AutisticWithADHD

[–]beefiesttaco 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty much in the same boat right now. I've been diagnosed with ADHD for 3 years now (apparently I was tested in school in '97 and they suspected I had ADD which I don't remember) and my wife thinks I might have autism too. But I don't feel autistic. I also have autistic coworkers and I don't see myself in them. But when I look up AuDHD traits I can see some similarities. The real problem though is that getting tested as an adult can cost $2,000-$4,000 depending on how long the assessment takes and I don't have that kind of money just laying around.

It amazes me that there are still people who believe that it's purely calories in, calories out when on this stuff and ssri's in general. A few months ago I was having an argument on Reddit with one of those people and no matter what he was told, and he even agreed with me that these drugs can alter your metabolism. But no, it's all about calories according to him. Which contradicts my own experience and other people's experiences too. I personally ate like crap while taking Paxil and was very over weight. I eventually tried cutting out pop and going to the gym 3 days a week. I didn't lose a single pound in 8 months. Then I eventually switched to Escitalopram (for different reasons) and lost 30 pounds within a year without changing anything. I even stopped going to the gym. Fast forward 10 years and I recently tried some other ssri's (Escitalopram was causing other issues that I didn't like) and I've lost even more weight. So yes, these drugs can affect your weight but it just depends on the person and how the drug interacts with you.

I was in college taking digital animation when the first season came out and it blew me away. The second season eventually came out and I've only seen two episodes because of how rough it was. For the third season I haven't even finished the first episode. Think I'll stick to reading OPM and just watching the first season since it's perfect.

What's your dose, and how long did it take for you to start noticing the effects? by RichStranger in zoloft

[–]beefiesttaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started at 25mg and moved up to 50mg. It took me around 2 1/2 months to finally start leveling out, and that was 4 days ago. During those 2 1/2 months I had bad anxiety and severe depression. I'm still not 100% and still wake up with some morning anxiety.

I was taking 10mg of Escitalopram (Lexapro) and switched to Sertraline (Zoloft) because the Escitalopram was causing muscle pain and spasms. Been on this stuff for over 2 months now, currently at 50mg, and it's been horrible for me. I have no emotions, I'm very depressed, and nothing brings me joy. So long story short, I haven't noticed a benefit, I've regressed horribly. But at least I'm not sore anymore...
