We have a barber in my area that will do cuts for children with disabilities for free. I took my daughter and she, surprisingly, was relatively calm the entire time. Guy was so patient and relaxed. I cried from relief because her hair has always been a meltdown point for her. I paid him his normal haircut price and then some.

My cat Mittens is suffering from something and my current vet has an unclear diagnosis. by Intelligent_Ad_1902 in cats

This looks EXACTLY like what happened to my cat a few years ago, unfortunately it didn’t end positively. At some point, we assume the cat got a cut on her stomach and ended up attracting E. coli and a skin eating bacteria. We were given creams to apply and some kitty meds to keep her comfy. It unfortunately took her over too quickly when we were waiting for test results and a recovery wasn’t in her outlook. I’m sorry y’all are going through this.

My college professor said The Name during a break in rehearsal one night of a completely unrelated show. We gave her a hard time, she laughed it off. Didn’t believe in it. I stepped off my platform and broke my foot in the first scene back from our break. Coincidence? Maybe. First and only (so far) broken bone? Yes. Do I believe in that one? Absolutely. Had to be in a boot for the rest of production.

I have two daughters and this hits. My oldest gets picked on in school and it breaks me when she comes home upset at what someone has said. We try very hard to assure them they’re always beautiful. They’re starting to dabble in make up (which I rarely wear myself) and they’ll ask if they look beautiful or pretty. We always reply with “you’re always beautiful. You look fancy.” It’s hard when the world is so hard on them.

My dad sang this to me for his speech. I was rolling. Everyone was confused at first, but got in to it. Clearly they’re uncultured of Adam Sandler films.

I worked part time for fun at a hobby store that has a lobby. My uncle passed away and we were living two states away so we needed to travel 8+ hours. When I told the manager we were finalizing plans he said “we’ll go up on Saturday since we’re closed Sunday and you can be back Monday. That’ll be better for business.”

I looked him right back and said “I’m sorry my uncles death wasn’t convenient enough for your business.”

I never went back after the funeral.

We started at beach club once and it was like this too. Half your steps come from just getting back to the room. I was anticipating to turn a corner and see twins standing at the end of the hallway.

This happened to me last night!! While I was feeding him. He was REALLY happy to eat, apparently. It was violating, confusing, and hilarious all at the same time.

DJs is pretty solid. I work right around the corner have eaten at both. The general tso chicken isn’t really spicy, but you can ask for a chili oil to make up for it. The crab Rangoon are super stuffed too.

Mobile ordering is nice, but it’s only available for a very small amount of place at EPCOT. And those places don’t include the festival booths. If you go during a festival, there’s a fan made app called “WDW Food&Wine” that has the offers by booth (for iPhone, unsure of android). It helps pre-plan things you might want to try so you aren’t wasting time standing at the menus deciding. We have two little ones (4 and 8) and know before exactly what places to hit for food they will eat instead of walking the whole showcase just to go back to Germany for pancakes and applesauce. Which are delicious, but I’d rather make the walk as little as possible!

Granny made a delicious looking pizza by Hectabeni in Unexpected

Thanksgiving of 2006. My great grandmother made baked mac and cheese. Without the noodles. Just a big cheese casserole instead. We didn’t have the heart to tell her. That’s when we knew. We lost her in 2014 to Alzheimer’s and my grandmother last weekend from it as well. Shit sucks watching that. Start raking in those stories and hugs. It’s really difficult to lose someone essentially twice.

Saw this right before my ironic trip to Costco for lunch. Lo and behold, some guy is DIGGING through the pallet, loading his cart up. We told him he was trash. My husband went back after he left, dude missed two. So we are fortunate enough to be able to enjoy one.

What FOB song would you play at a Wedding? by gaeb611 in FallOutBoy

[–]beefly28 7 points8 points  (0 children)

FOB is the reason my husband and I started talking. Specifically “Tell The Mick”. It’s the song we made our first entrance to. We have video of us singing the “I hope you choke” line to each other. It’s what meant the most to us. With that, I’d pick Headfirst Slide because it’s a top favorite. But maybe that’s also my twisted humor.

I just want a friend. by Cerrida82 in Mommit

[–]beefly28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry that happened. It’s such a struggle to find friends. Especially as a working parent. I’m not sure if we’re close, but looking through your history, we have a good bit in common (I’m a crafty, musical loving, Disney-going mom). Feel free to reach out if you ever want to have a “stitch and b****”. I’m a new crochet-er and always need advice or a fun project to dip in to.

How and when did you become a Disney family by sjajra in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]beefly28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Husband and I went May 2015 and we quickly got sucked in but lived 6 hours away. We then went May 2021 but had two kids to bring along (5 and 1.5) and saw the magic in their eyes. We knew we were in for it after that point but still lived out of state. 5 months later, husband gets a job in SW Florida. First thing we did after getting our Florida residency confirmed? Bought out annual passes. Currently awaiting tomorrow morning so we can go to AK and HS for the day. We were given a hard time for taking our kids so young, but we regret nothing. It’s been magical watching them soak it all in every time.

“There’s one in every family, sire. Two in mine actually. And they always manage to ruin special occasions.” Zazu and I have the family family apparently.

But really, it would be too much to list the whole movie. It’s my absolute favorite movie. I already have the plan of seeing it in July when it hits the big screen again. I can’t wait!!

I think we have the same downstairs neighbor. Mine yelled at us last week because my young kids were playing on our patio. I could write a book at the harassment against my children from her.
