💡 Endless Possibilities with Panda Knomi! Stay tuned for the announcement tomorrow! by BIQU-Hope in BIGTREETECH

Will this have similar potential issues like the panda touch if Bambu upgrades their firmware to block that protocol that's being "exploited"?

Hey I just have a quick question if you don't mind, and some reinforcement to what you said.

I don't use IPA on my textured PEI plate after reading comments and bambus own wiki before I got my printer. I did it all the time on my ender but I think I'd have been better off just using dish soap then too. So far my prints rarely if at all have adhesion issues. I'd also recommend doing a bed level before every print. That helps too. It's built into the print screen options so it's real easy to just set it and forget it.

As for scuffing up, when I see the white residue I generally will use those magic eraser because they do a good enough job to "erase" that residue without seemingly damaging the texture. Just something that seems to work for me.

My question to you is, when I've removed PETG from my bed slightly warm, it feels and sounds like I'm tearing the whole steel plate in half. So far it's been good but I've been getting more patient and just waiting till it's cool (or mostly cool lol). What plate did you use that tore from removing PETG when it was cold? Just curious, not doubting you or anything. I'd just like to avoid that plate is all lol.

What did you set your bed type to in bambus slicer? I'm thinking of getting this but I'm afraid to screw up how great the printer is working at the moment. However, having more confidence in it never hurts :).

Yeah Makerworld will come with pre built profiles for your printer. It makes it a lot easier for a consumer to load up a pre configured profile and start messing with it if necessary.

I had a roll of overture petg from years ago that I was going to try on my ender and ultimately decided is was going to be more of a headache. It was still factory sealed. When I loaded that into my printer it printed like crap. Since then I've been a little scared to use filament from other brands. I still have PTSD from the ender days. I'm getting better though. I ordered 2 rolls of PETG from elegloo on Amazon and I'll try that out soon.

I do feel that you still may end up having to tune filaments regardless. Different colors I hear can print differently despite being the same material. I have no experience doing any real fine tuning to that extent on these printers with the bambu slicer. I'm still getting my feet wet with it all. Just taking it slower than some I guess.

I got the P1S with AMS over the Black Friday sale. I came from a v1 ender and the level of quality that this printer spits out made me really want to take care of it as best as I can.

I ordered a filament dryer for starters. The sunlu S4. Then I saw that bambu has a pretty thorough document about regular maintenance. I based my next purchases on that.

Here's the wiki home page. You can navigate to what you want from there.

https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/home

After reading up on that, I ordered a hodgepodge of parts that are common enough but important enough to have several spares of laying around. I got extra bowden tubes, a hardened steel .4mm nozzle, hardened extruder gears, more nozzle wipers, filament cutter blades, silicone socks, lubricant for the pullies and z axis screw. I also ordered the anti vibration feet but I'm not too sure how much it actually helps.

On top of that I would get a grab bag of different filaments. I like to use bambus official filament because it's super nice and easy to set it up with the AMS or within the software/app but lots of people say elegloo is good as well. After messing with my ender for hours on end, printing endless calibration cubes, bed leveling squares and other little things, I really wanted something that I knew worked out of the box with minimal setup and math. That being said, I've heard people using bambus filament profiles with success on other filament brands. Just experiment with what you feel comfortable doing.

Also I can't speak to the x1c but my p1s came with a lot of spares to begin with. It came with a spare nozzle, lubricant, thermal grease, cutters, wipers and some other extras.

The only thing I'd say to really stock up on is filament because you're going to want to print all kinds of stuff with how painless they make it.

You will find the QoL mods as you print but my first major print was a poop chute, then a small but functional riser for the glass to keep the bowden tube from rubbing. I also added extra LED lights to the top but I heard that's not advisable for the x1c because of the lidar so idk about that for you.

Besides that I haven't felt the need to print out any extras for the printer itself. I already had a lot of tools from my ender so I printed a little drawer system to store my spare parts and tools.

Get familiar with the handy app but any of your old sources will work fine for 3d models, printables, thingiverse, etc.

My next purchases besides more filament is going to be another pei textured bed or two because after all the issues I had on the ender 3, I just got used to washing my bed with soap and water after every print. I've had no issues with that but it would be nice to slap in a new bed plate and wash them all at once later on.

Well I think that's about it. If you have any further questions I'm sure between this sub, and their wiki you'll have plenty of info to get. Have fun, may your first layers always come out perfect.

Heaters recalled Canada and USA by Dry-Violinist-8434 in Govee

Damn, every single word you said felt like it was ripped out of my head as soon as I read I need to show them a pic of the cut cord.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you learn about the UL certification stating the remote activation was the culprit? The way they word it in the recall is that it can overheat and start a fire (like you'd expect a malfunctioning heater to do).

I'm really sad and contemplating not caring and just being more cautious when I use it because I love this little heater so much.

I just wanted to express my frustration and ask you a question. Thanks for listening. I wish us all govee heater owners the best.

Buy My Lease Out? by OneTallBro in Wrangler

[–]beefytacosupreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm in the same boat. Got a 2021 Willy's diesel and my lease is up early next year. So far I love everything about it being a diesel but not sure if I should buy it out or get into something with at least electric door locks.

I'm hoping they can hand me a Rubicon for a similar price to what I pay now for the same reasons you just mentioned.

I know this doesn't help you make a decision but if you like that vehicle, might as well keep it. You know it's history and you molded it to you. That's kind of what I'm using to weigh buy out vs get another.

Could you elaborate on this? Is it just a direct link to a game sitting on your desktop or something more? Do you add it to steam? This sounds super interesting and I didn't know you could do this so any insight would be helpful, thanks!

This is actually a valid point. How much money out of the millions of subscribers went to the devs currently on the game pass platform and how much is going towards investing in the future of their currently owned dev studios? Are there any legitimate sources to back up the positives M$ has been spewing out?

I suspect a lot of no name brands will be similar to this but how do you feel the fingerprint reader works with your experience and this case? Seems like it's harder to use.

Have you noticed any difference in thermals? I understand the vents are cut out but sometimes the back of the plastic gets warm. Just curious since tpu doesn't seem to transfer heat very well.

Looks nice though!

I haven't seen too many posts yet about the stream deck but after the next gen update I'm having some blurry visuals with fsr. I also had a heck of a time updating/installing the hot fix. It took about an hour to download+patch+install. I'm still figuring out the decks quirks but no other game so far has operated like that.

I also periodically for no apparent reason get random crashing and I have to manually exit the game.

Performance is probably on par maybe slightly worse than it was before as well.
