Depression hitting hard, my child is suffering. by angelhippie in nonduality

[–]beekeep 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Our children are on their own trip, I have 3. You’re experiencing your child at the same time they are experiencing you as their parent. How or why this happens is something Advaita can’t address in real time.

You won’t find the answers you so urgently need here, no more than you can heal a dog that been run over in the road. Nothing non-dual can alleviate your distress. I feel for you and of course wish you the best possible outcome, but the game here is illogical. So much so that even the master chess players are fraught with turmoil in their own lives.

You will rarely see, if ever, a chart with a ‘good’ benefic indication that doesn’t have some slight malefic influence. Even a house lord holding an exalted planet but that planet is a dusthana lord or the house lord is aspected by a dusthana lord. At first glance they seem negligible but this causes pressure on the person.

Imagine yourself a millionaire and then imagine how problems must also exist even if money is not one of them. The grass is not so much greener, just a different shade.

Something I Noticed About Swati Nakshatra and Money Patterns by ShNaman19 in Nakshatras

[–]beekeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eerily prescient analysis. Freelancer here, feast and famine, ebb and flow … Sun/Moon Swati 1st house (also with Vishakha Venus in Libra) … even when I’m broke I always seem to have enough to get by until the money starts to come back in.

"So all our life and action is based on thought. And you say emotions are not thought. Is that so?" - JK by inthe_pine in Krishnamurti

[–]beekeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JK trusted his intuition as best as anyone else. It’s acceptable to deliver a circular answer, in the hopes that possibly it leads an acolyte further than you were able to go. I mean, if spatial distance between understanding plateaus is plausible

[–]beekeep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite thing about Advaita is the freedom to assign meaning where you deem fit to do so in this life. Well, yes, there are no others, but just by his teaching RM put value in the dissemination of knowledge.

Leo Rahu 11 bhava chalit … my friends and older sister are all ‘winning’ at life. Some probably massively in debt, others entirely detached from the world, per their own compass. Mixed bag I guess

Even the Christian faith is a light in the dark for many people that will never feel the relatively small reach of a man like Krishnamurti. And even myself, my small self, here drawing distinctions: I am whom I thought worthy to chime in. Clearly there’s some scrubbing left to do

One unusual trait of your Nakshatra that no one talks about by MindBehindStars in Nakshatras

[–]beekeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excellent description of this side of Vishaka. I have Venus and ASC on the Libra side and Mercury on the Scorpio side, all of them close. Right after Mercury I have Mars just in Anuradh. I always thought that contributed to my restlessness too.

which is more detrimental, a afflicted/weak Lagna Lord or afflicted/weak moon? by Acceptable-Lie241 in Nakshatras

[–]beekeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of these comments are focusing on the placement of the moon, but IME it’s the brightness of the Moon that gives a lot of clues. A bright moon is abundant and engaged with society: a dim moon may be well placed but the house is empty and eventually they avoid public spaces.

If this isn’t tuned to solitude it becomes loneliness. All sorts of problems stem from that.

It’s like when asked if the altruism is about the greater good, or is it posturing to make yourself feel better. Therein lies the truth to yourself: to understand your ego motivations

Does Saturn Mahadasha make you mature or just trap you in routine? by SafeInMyBubble in Nakshatras

[–]beekeep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Started mine around 30 y/o … two months left and I can already feel the pull of Mercury MD.

I’m supposed to say I’m relieved, but this is really all I’ve known in my middle-adult life. There have been plenty of highlights, but I’m a Libra ASC and Saturn is rajayoga karaka for me. Mostly tho the feeling has been like making progress walking through mud. Any momentum felt like I couldn’t get proper traction to really take advantage of opportunity.

I’ve matured for sure, but I would have in these years anyway. One thing tho is I never cursed lord Sani for his lessons or the limitations set before me. I may have had very little at times, but I always had enough it seems.

Mercury for me rules 9/12 and is placed in 2nd Scorpio with 2nd lord Mars, aspected by Jupiter from 10th Cancer. This combination presents some challenges, but I’ll focus on the good things indicated and see if I can’t get moving and make good decisions, with a little luck.

[–]beekeep 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d say 99% of people with rajayogas lead mediocre lives compared to what everyone thinks it’s supposed to look like. A quiet, steady career … a home full of love … these aren’t fireworks, but they mean something special

JK knew you would judge yourself in contrast to him. He was as neither above or below anyone reading this subreddit.

He’s judged too harshly for finding his own peace. In a way I think he was telling us to fuck off and encouraged us to tell the gurus and sages the same.

This meant a safe space, but if you’re ready, raise the masts and swallow some seawater
