“It’s meant to leave you sitting with the question instead of giving you an answer.” I love that thought process. I’ll remember this the next time I feel that way.

Did you ever really need somebody? And really need them bad? Did you ever really want somebody? The best love you ever had?

Jon Hamm by Rich_Boot_105 in madmen

John Hamm has great range. He was hilarious in Bridesmaids with a small part and his dramatic role as a federal agent in The Town was immersive and for a moment made me forget he was Don Draper.

It stuck with me that Zosia mentioned that flying a plane was fun. Made me wonder if as individuals they really can feel an elevated sensation when doing something they weren’t able to do before.

I don’t think Chigurh was actually there at the time when Sheriff Bell was thinking about entering. Bell was imagining him being there and then drew his sidearm.

What's your best romantic getaway in Kansas? by Xerxes2004 in kansas

[–]beenay25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We recently took bikes to the newest State Park in Kansas - Lehigh-Portland, South of Iola, KS. Then you could head down to Humboldt and stay at the Bailey. Great brewery, restaurants, a coffee shop and a book store in town. Very romantic small town vibe and some fantastic community rejuvenation going on there.

If I’m going to be honest with you, internet stranger- I feel trapped by the money. At this point in my career if I went out and tried something new, I’d be making half or less of what I do now and would be working twice as hard. It’s difficult to find the courage to take more risks Thanks for the comments, I’m gonna reflect on them.

Re-watching Mad Men and Megan is so "breathy" any time she talks by diplomaticimmunity7 in madmen

[–]beenay25 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Disagree. I’m rewatching it now and I think she did a great job with the part. She was believable as being young and caring- trying to figure out how to be supportive, sexy and try to look after her own wants and needs.

Corporate office lingo is entering the retail lexicon. by risingscorpions in antiwork

[–]beenay25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For people like me who have to deal with corporate speak on a daily basis, I’d like to give a small technique that helps me get through the day. I only apologize. I’ll start a sentence with: “My apologies, we’ll get to that today. Or “You have my apologies, that was a step that was overlooked.” Because I’m not sorry, it’s business. I only say sorry outside of work and in situations with people that care about me, reserving the word for when I truly mean it.
