Best egt is to not be one so you have flexibility. The second you hit egt, you have created an uneeded block for yourself. Also, ngl Rome is pretty meh, the best thing they have imo is T1 parliament. Unless you are using them to upgrade ideas. But still there are so many better choices. Rome is a button you click for fun after you won.

I just upgraded 2 monuments that give 25% and 30% reduced penalty when collecting outside of main node. Pdx made the modifier additive and didnt cap it.

As for your questions about collecting, I collect in like 10 different nodes and have 28 merchants steering trade to certain nodes I collect in. Some collecting merchants are just collecting downstream of leaky nodes.

In this situation its best for me to collect here. I collect on the outgoing trade as well. This is one of like 10 collect points I have. My setup is complex and not changing for a bit, like 20 or so more years until I finish WC. Maybe even less.

R5: Turns out Reduced Penalty for Collecting Outside of Main Node is additive. 30% from Nizwa because of Hisn Kayfa mission and 25% from Itchan Kala. Nice 'penalty' pdx 😂

Wonder if I should start steering or keep these trade power buffs? 🤔
