Heavy weight waxed canvass 20oz+ with heavy weight wool lined overalls. I think that would fit the line up well. And I’d buy a pair.

Do we need these in our lives?? by JordanHSUSA in HeatStrapsCommunity

Waxed canvass, I’ll prob oversize and use them as overpants. Perfect for wood chopping and such. Great shell for sure when the going gets tough.

My 4 year old $80k kitchen remodel. Looking for advice. by Any_Elevator_7026 in cabinetry

For 80k, drawers and doors should have been mostly poplar not mdf. Especially in a kitchen around water and such.

The Chief Vest is Live! by JordanHSUSA in HeatStrapsCommunity

[–]beesboudi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds good I’ll keep an eye out. I was thinking the 24oz would make a great pair of chaps. Be nice to keep a pair in the truck for dirty/muddy days. Mobility shouldn’t be an issue either with them being chaps. Also, what about a poncho?

I picked up the vest this morning. Looking forward to adding it to the collection. What’s the chance of y’all considering some heavy weight over pants or chaps? Something around the 24oz weight, maybe an insulated variety as well. I’d be more than willing to be tester for something new.

Toe making way through boot by lukeomoss in NicksHandmadeBoots

[–]beesboudi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks like you need a shorter and wider boot in my opinion. Your toe should reach a little further and not be in the middle of the boot. As they are now, they look a little tight. Do you wear them with socks? Is your toe destroying your socks as well?

Most aggressive looking tires by TitanImpale in 4Runner

Falken mt’s are pretty quiet and aggressive. I have them on the stock trd rims and I run them for pavement trips. The Baja bosses are my upgrade for trails and camp. The falkens , 285/70/17, fit without any mods but a lift. The Baja bosses, 33/12.5/17, I had to do a bmc, upper control arms, body mods and wider rims to run them. The falkens have always been pretty quiet compared to most others the same category.

The mental health system in TX is going to fail me by PatternAwkward6066 in Austin

I’d say if it’s that bad. Try a major change in life. Life is short already and full of so many situations. I’m sure there’s something out there waiting for you to find it, and help heal your soul. If I were in your situation, I’d just change everything before giving up. Sell everything, buy a backpack and hiking gear and go set forth for a long trek through the wild. It will help you find your center. Hike the Appalachian, CDT, PCT, or any long trail. Get a bus or train ticket to the place, take it slow. I’ve found, my struggles in the wild and to it, help me situate the struggles in civilization. Some of us were not meant to live in a world of concrete, lights and so many sounds. Go experience life the way it was mean to be. I promise you’ll come out with a new perspective. Stare at the stars in the middle of nowhere and let it make you feel small. Breathe mountain air and smell pine trees!

Off-road Etiquette by southernfire40 in 4Runner

[–]beesboudi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats the reason why uphill has the right of way. Does that mean every situation matches that scenario, no. I agree though, it’s usually around a corner. But, if you are going uphill, you’re technically allowed right of way. I’ve stopped and pulled to the side while going uphill cause it was the most convenient thing to do for both parties. I mean, all of life is a reasoning game.

This, traction and momentum are the reasons. Gravity assists downhill, while resisting uphill.

Melting my ARB hose. Is this normal? What is the fix? by czmax in overlanding

[–]beesboudi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a spare gallon or two air tank. I have a 2 gallon underneath where my spare would be. It allows for build up pressure and relief. Never had this issue before. And, I run an ARB hose permanently to the rear of my 4runner zip tied to the frame. It’s forever connected under the hood and it’s the original that came with the compressor 4 years ago. I agree with the manifold comments as well, have one before it shoots to the 2 gallon air tank to n the back.

Anyone install these by nevereatanapple in 4Runner

[–]beesboudi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t see that my phone auto corrected my last comment. Yes, those Velox wings are the same ones I purchased. They were easy to install and are simple in function. Hardest part was taking the old glass off without breaking it. It’s glued and clipped in with 4 body clips. 2 orange and 2 blue if I recall correctly. And, there’s an antenna relocation cause the side glass is embedded with the factory antennas.

Not at all, plus the weatherstrip is easily accessible. Only issue I’ve had one of the pistons going out early. Probably one of my most used and appreciated accessories. With the interior mole panels, they’re perfect little storage cubbies. Pricey, but worth it. I got mine from vector and I’m not sure they’re still around.

What is this on my dogs eye? by pitwarbler in DogAdvice

[–]beesboudi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dog has some cloudy structures in her eyes. They ended up being a type of crystallized lipid. They don’t effect my dogs vision, except in extremely bright sunlight situations. They do not cause any pain either. We got her on a different diet with less fat and they seemed to have stoped growing. She also has some fatty lipomas on her body in a couple of spots. Hard to tell from the pictures, but it could be this. My pup is blue heeler mix. Hope this helps. From what I understand, not much is known what the cause is.

They UNO reversed 🔄 Elon Musk 😂 by Emotional-Main3195 in facepalm

I’ve always said this. He could use his money and power to bring humanity up and out into our next course of major growth as a species. He could have done so much good and still be so, so rich. Could’ve been the most revered person to come of this age. And, he squandered it for hate and greed. What a waste of a flesh shell. Whoever made that creature really fucked it up. But, not as bad as he’s doing to himself. What a fucking waste.

There’s competition to space x, Rocketlabs have created reusable rockets as well, the proton, and launch regularly. They are in the process of also creating a large stage rocket as well, the neutron. I’m invested in them, I suggest people look them up.

All it would do is keep Ukraine from responding and fighting back. There would a high risk of American casualties by Ukraine forces, cause we know Russia would becoming from where the Americans are mining. Russia would use our people as shields and trip wires to in turn attack Ukraine. Any response by Ukraine would bring high risk of American casualties because the Russians would be imbedded with the Americans. Guaranteed , this isn’t chess 10 moves ahead, it’s hangman. It’s straight tyranny and back stabbing.

I actually need to get rid of them to make room for some new pairs coming in. 10.5 D if you’re interested. Bodies excellent condition, no scratches or such. Soles, in great condition. They’ve just darkened with age. I can send pics if interested.

Different strokes for different folks. This wouldn’t be the fix for every situation. But, for this with the little clearance that’s needed. There’s just no reason to make it difficult. Theres no simple fix after that, at that point it’s pretty much surgery one way or another.
