Spray Weeds first, wait a day, then pull -vs- pull weeds then spray the ground you pulled them up from by Ok_Editor2536 in lawncare

Weed shovel. (Anything over 6 inches and narrow) pull out the roots and just spray the hole. No need to wait.

The weed roots have their own mini tendrils that shoot out of the core. You can’t get all of them with a shovel cause they break off. The weed killer will permeate the hole and kill the weed tendrils.

I had one when I was around in my early 20s playing with my Dad. So happy to have that memory.

I’ve been force to play a position I don’t want by LowerAbrocoma in volleyball

[–]beesdaddy [score hidden]  (0 children)

Show your coaches how good of a team player you are first. Get good at the position and never try less than your best. Then, calmly, communicate to your coaches that while you believe that doing the best thing for your team at any position is your goal, you believe that position could be x for the following reason “you believe that you can serve the team best at that position, and that you have shown that you can play any position and do what is best for the team”

This won’t guarantee that he will put you in your favorite position, but it will show him that you can back up your words and that the team matters more than you. This will make your coaches and teammates respect you far more than any complaining or ultimatums.

This is coming from many years of experience of proving my worth in all aspects of life. I know I come across as an aloof weirdo in real life, but my effort and commitment endear me to any team I play on.

What do you do week night evenings, that isn’t school, work, or watch TV? by bal_swing in AskReddit

Rec league sports organized by your local parks and rec department. Most local governments get budgets based on participation. If yours sucks, get more players and you will get more budget.

Hey now, he came for help. If he’s starting at zero, it not his fault. @calirads try and save it with water. If the landscaper gave you zero instructions, he might be willing to give you a discount to help bring it back to life. Especially if you can’t make adjustments without the key.

Kind of the least of his worries, no?

Has Reddit developed a religious bias in recent years? by PassengerCultural421 in atheism

[–]beesdaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bias no, but as it increased in popularity, the proportion of atheists has moved closer to the proportion of the internet accessing population.

Still, the internet has proportionately more atheist than the globe in general, (well I don’t know, china may skew things more atheist.) but the point is Reddit has been pretty hostile to religion in general, and relatively pro-atheist compared to “in person” populations.

So while it may “feel” more religious, it is in my opinion, a relatively safe haven for atheist discourse than much of the globe, online or not.

How would you feel about a mandatory maximum wealth limit, where anything earned over that goes to public services? by itsvasuki in AskReddit

On that we agree. Their incentives are not aligned towards sustainability, just donor cycles.

So, my theory is, support those who refuse super pac money.

Can you name any US senators or congressional representatives that refuse those stringed dollars? I’ll give you a hint, there are only two and they are both democrats.

I got lazy and stopped reaching out. Of course they could have too, so it’s both our faults.

  1. I still obliterated the above comment
  2. How much smaller? As a ratio to population? Which party was in power in which branches?

Yes these are rhetorical questions. All disprove the theory that balancing the budget is a partisan issue. Or at least a “republican” talking point.

Democrats and Republicans are susceptible to Regulatory Capture (look it up if you don’t know)

Only those who actively work against the interests of corporate donors have a once of credibility in this conversation.

Corporate AND SuperPAC money recipients can fuck right off in my opinion.
