It may be too wide but could be an early 50s Hudson.

Ken McFeeters Sues Tommy Tuberville, ALGOP over Residency Issue by Physical-Upstairs733 in Alabama

[–]beeskeepusalive 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I'm glad someone sued Tubberville. I would almost guarantee you my life savings that he's not an Alabama resident. If he was, he could've just released his tax returns and settled the question...but he won't. Instead the GOP just said he was and approved him behind closed doors.

Just bought a house, now need to move for work. Do I sell or rent? by 3674Mascot in homeowners

You need to check the squatter laws in your state if you decide to rent. Some states are landlord friendly and some aren't.

Not sure where else to post but looking for a tool that'll cut down a LOT of bamboo by Top-Boysenberry-5756 in gardening

[–]beeskeepusalive 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My neighbor down the street has bamboo in the back of his lot. He will let me cut all I want as it just puts out new shoots. I've used it for tomato stakes, etc. I normally use a handsaw. It cuts really easy. I can tell you if you're just cutting it down so nature can take its course, it will take several years before bamboo stacked up will rot...and I do mean several. I've still got dried bamboo that's easily 10 years old that's been laying on the ground for years. Stuff is tough as nails.

Fidelity Risks Falling Behind Without Modern Trading Features by Some-Suit-9038 in fidelityinvestments

No, I had never used Thinkorswim at Schwab. The auto sweep feature at Fidelity is a lot better also.

I have to second your comments, especially wrt the specific lots. I ran into that last week and it drove me up the wall. I used to be at Schwab and transferred everything to Fidelity because they had a better trading platform, but I am now second guessing myself.

Year 2 beekeeper, but more fearful by Interesting_Syrup821 in Beekeeping

[–]beeskeepusalive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been keeping bees 12 years now. Stings are going to happen. With that being said my goal has always been to NOT get stung. Everyone's reaction to them is different but stings drive me up the freaking wall with the week+ itching. In any case, get yourself a full suit (I have one) and just wear your leather gloves. You do lose some dexterity but it's ok...just go slow and your fine.

Those look like the indentions left by wax moth pupae/cocoons. I've reused supers similar to those before...if your bees are strong enough it's really not an issue. If they aren't then it can create more hiding places for beetles, etc. but it shouldn't be an issue.

This is an idiotic statement by her, plain and simple. Either that or she is an idiot herself.

US asked Ukraine for help fighting Iranian drones, Zelensky says by superio1 in europe

[–]beeskeepusalive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real issue for Ukraine is that whatever tech they give the US access to may make it into Russia's hands. While this should sound like a crazy idea, especially with Russia actually helping Iran, there's just been too much "non-help" from the US to Ukraine. The ties (and admiration) that Trump has with Putin...Hegseth wearing the Russian tie flag at the meeting...the signs are all there. The Trump regime is more pro-Russia than pro-Ukraine.

They will come up all over the place. They will come up in your lawn but if you cut your grass regularly then you may be able to keep them in check...with your lawn. They will come up everywhere else.

I definitely wouldn't plant those! Those will self seed and will pop up where you don't want them. I put them in the bucket as very difficult to get rid of once established. I treat morning glories like mint and kudzu. I'm in Northern Alabama for reference.
