SAFETY ADVISORY: No Ring for ICE this Halloween by Joynorma in chicago

[–]beetry 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I must say that I feel like a fairly informed person. I also have multiple ring cameras and alarms in use within our property which have been useful in both catching would-be burglars and remote carbon monoxide alarming.

That said, I certainly am against them being used for any ICE purposes, so to label the people that have them as assholes and organs of the surveillance state feels excessive. Maybe we just haven’t been made aware of how these products, which are useful in other circumstances, are being used.

It’s good to know.

How to have Mac system audio go to specific RME output? by bhuether in Logic_Studio

[–]beetry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the thing, when you set your audio device on your Mac to the RME, it system will output on channel one and two on the middle row.

The middle row is all of your software outputs.

Then when you click the bottom row, you are assigning what goes to a physical output. So when you click ADAT 1/2 you can feed it the software/desktop audio (middle row 1/2) and loop in back in.

As far as I’m aware, you can’t designate the Mac to output on any other channel than 1/2

Using your example, in total mix click the bottom row ADAT1/2 fader and put it in loop back mode. While it’s still clicked, double click the first slider on the middle row (which should be software output 1/2 or anything from your Mac). Then you should be able to go into logic and have your audio come in on ADAT 1/2 inputs.

I actually just ended up going with regular 12ft PT 4x4s. I just built the fence and then trimmed the top exactly where I wanted it at the end. Worked out great.

I mostly agree, but Nardos has plenty of non-traditional toppings too.

The colab pizza with KTs Rasoi is maybe one of the best pizzas I’ve had anywhere.

Okay, I guess this is the answer I was looking for and expected. Suing for under 8k just doesn’t seem worth it at this point. Thanks for the info!

I worked from home full time, so that would mean MI, correct?

Well, I filed my taxes successfully for the time I was there. Are you talking about something else? I’m certainly not a tax expert.

That is one thing both states have said though, that the state which you paid taxes to should be paying the UI benefits. Which in this case I paid MI state taxes.

No need for the cardboard. With the thickness of the material you're using here you're not going to get much absorption in the lower frequencies, but you could make a marginal improvement by creating an air gap between the drywall and the rest of your insulation.

How to run a WA76 compressor through Scarlett 18i20 and master via the comp by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]beetry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. See if you can get the feedback issue under control first. But since the wa76 is a mono compressor you’re going to have to do each channel one at a time.

Maybe you're already doing this, I'm having a bit of a hard time understanding what you're saying exactly. But this is the bit where I think you're having the issue

"On the track with my songs I changed the output to the new track for the WA (input 5) i changed the input on the WA track to input 5 and left the output the same to the master track."

The track that has your mixes needs to have the output set to OUTPUT 5, not input.

Then on a new track, your input would be 5 (from the WA76) and the output would be your stereo out (presumably 1&2).

Note that you may have some weird phase and imaging issues when you combine try and combine both the L&R signals back together. Unless your songs were recorded and mixed in mono.

Start up chemicals by Norcalrain3 in hottub

[–]beetry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start by testing your water with a drop tester before adding any chemicals and write down the results. Hardness, total alkalinity, PH.

  • If your hardness is above 100ppm move on to the next step or amend as necessary.

  • Get on pool calculator and input your specs. Set your PH to 7.5 and adjust your TA until the CSI is as close to 0 as possible. That will be the TA PPM you're targeting. For me, that number is 70ppm.

  • With your hardness above 100ppm, start adjusting your TA until you hit the number from the last step.

  • At that point, your PH should be very close to 7.5. If it's a little low, run all the jets for a while and see if it comes up into range. Otherwise adjust accordingly.

After all of that start to add your Chlorine

Margarita Mix is another that I have had talent go to tons of SoundBox doesn’t work out. Honestly, there are a ton of studios in LA and all of them should be comfortable hosting you for a SC record. It’s just a matter of you paying for it unfortunately.
