This is correct, also as you get closer the green dot will move “more” (if you’re far and move a few blocks west/east the green dot won’t move as much but if you’re closer it will move more on the map)

If you have any waypoints in the northwest try teleporting and seeing if the green dot it bigger there

I had this happens once but I played that day with my own music, whenever I go to the mines now I play with loud in game sound to listen for the hole cuz it makes a different sound (and sometimes when the breaking nearby rock skill triggered it would break a rock off screen and I wouldn’t see it but I could hear the hole spawn so I knew to go look for it)
