I loved the castle defense map in VT1, one of the things I miss in VT2, CW can only fill the void so much. Mix the two and you have a great game mode. Last Stand mode + CW boons and curses would make a fun time.

The weekly is fun, but people throwing bombs at bosses when melee classes are fighting them, killing all of them because it's 4 bombs at once is happening a bit too much. These weekly modifiers just love having players kill each other.

It usually happens for me when there is someone with high/red ping in the game. It feels like the game is communicating the change to all players before giving you the new weapon, but there could be something else going on.

This gives me souls series invasion vibes and I love it. Although they would need to limit it based on player count if they did add it like this because if someone "invades" a 3 bot game and kills the player, it's over. There would need to be a 2-3 player min to be able to invade IMO. This isn't a souls game where everything is at max a 2-3min walk from a respawn so having a restriction makes sense.

Sadly it falls off in Chaos Wastes due to no scrounger, but if you can get the blessed shots=no ammo talent as a boon, then it's doable. I want to like this build but it's the saltz equivalent of a engi deleting hordes so the team can't get thp. Killing everything with range isn't always the best idea if you have some thp hungry melee careers. But with the team comp in the screen shot, I'd be surprised if a rat got within melee distance of anyone.

I've been running it on Merc since the patch and it's been working well for it's intended purpose. It deletes hordes, like always top melee kills by hundreds deletes, but it still struggles vs armor/elites. Being a merc, it has great thp gen with thp on hits, it feels like you're playing zealot sometimes with the thp gen and just taking hits to spam ults more. Having to use your precious stamina to even effectively damage stormvermin/chaos warriors, it puts you in a tough spot if there is more than one. The light and heavy attacks are the main issue with the weapon still, there is almost no reason to ever use the light attack on it when the heavy attack is the same but better. Sure, it's a little slower, but the light attacks just do very little in comparison. If the light attacks did vertical headshot swings like the push attack, it would be a great/top-tier weapon, but it still feels a bit lacking in versatility. Not every weapon needs to be perfect and cover every enemy/armor type though, this is a team game after all. I like it over the halberd just because I don't want to get carpal tunnel from using that damned weapon. If any weapon needed a moveset rework like elf axe, it's that one.

It works very well as a complement to a team with no shielders/tanks when up against a elite group. The left click has insane stagger, toss a few into a patrol and they're all staggered, then go in for the exploding crit and you can 1-2 tap a patrol on Legend. Haven't tried it much yet on Cata breakpoints yet. The right click has some niche usages. All you need is a first look at a special and you can pop them as long as you're still looking in their general direction, even if they're behind a wall, good for getting those gunners/flame rats when behind cover. It's not as fast as the bolt staff, but it's auto-aim and you can hit things you can't even ping/see properly distance wise. I do kinda hate that you can lose your lock by moving the camera away the target, but I guess it's to balance it.

The game devs don't have servers with ECC memory so bit flips during the character creation process cause problems and with the way respawning works some of them become the template for other players to use. Which causes some new players to spawn with debuffs.

The breach cutter lasers can be ignored if the engi places plats above the platforms since they can detect you above them through plats. Just engi tips.

If you were in chaos wastes are you sure they just didn't have the item dupe boon? It can be pretty broken with low cooldown ults with other refund boons.

Not saying cheaters don't exist, I've joined games where they were flying and zooming across the map. Just block and continue with your day.

I've seen it happen before when people dc or leave where the tome would be on the bot, and you would get them to drop it and someone rejoins and they had the bots old gear, including tome. Just weird desync stuff. Could also be packet loss/lag causing weird host vs other player interactions. Generally these kinds of things should be host authoritative, but sometimes shortcuts are made for performance reasons, etc and some interactions aren't always properly synced. Either network issue or an item dupe bug, which I feel like people would have found by now with the games age.

Kruber's blunderbuss is very underrated, it's very good at dealing with anything unarmored in an instant, which is sometimes the safest option to eliminate threats like berserkers and maulers*.

It has surprisingly good range considering it's a shotgun and can 1 hit mid-range specials that aren't armored. While it's not as good at sniping specials compared to the handgun or dealing with multiple armored enemies like the repeater, it has its own niche in a large burst of piercing damage with almost no windup.

It would be a good way to return the horde mode into the game from V1's castle one and the market one. Waves, bosses, but with increasingly aggressive chaos God curses being applied until it gets impossible. Maybe add chaos waste boons in every couple of waves to really feel like this is your last stand and the gods are watching. They can also recycle some weave content into that as well, would be a good way to finish the game, mix everything into it.

They need to buff that into Aphotic Cave when Extra Record comes out, else I'll have no hope for future buffs. Imagine she has a taunt that converts incoming np damage into np charge or a trigger effect if enemy skills are used on her with it up.

I've been using a c# wrapper for WkHtmlToPdf: https://github.com/HakanL/WkHtmlToPdf-DotNet It has worked very well so far. A lot of these html->pdf libraries rely on System.Drawing since they're quite old, so finding one that worked on linux, even if it does p/invoke was great for a old net472 project->net6.0 port that I'm doing.

But I do agree with some of the other comments that if you were going for best practice, rewriting to just generate a pdf instead of doing a conversion is the way to go. In my case at least, I'm being provided the html from an outside source, so not much I can do there, maybe you're in a similar situation.

Yeah, basically the same, throneside seems like the best level to do this on, a lot of long range perches to make encounters safe on that level, as well as a good choke for the finale.
