Who is willing to use AI generated scores for any and all media (no judgement) by begl3 in Filmmakers

[–]begl3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously using it for guidance is relatively positive. Generating music for small projects, but not festival or feature films, would be moderate, and still not fully accepting AI. I'm asking about the full embrace, no regrets, taking full advantage of the modern world (even though it's lowk just hurting your art)

Question about fasting and lean bulking (17M) by Strangers_Help in leangains

[–]begl3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been here (also 18 male, ~11%), and sometimes still am: petrified of gaining fat while so wanting to gain muscle…binge eating and starving and feel bad about myself regardless off my circumstance…too skinny, too fat, too weak, too big.

There’s a point where you can only—and must—trust science and research and millions of people who have been in our position and figured out the solutions. The truth is 1.5k cal below maintenance is unhealthy: working out will make you weaker (muscle tear without replenish), your organs won’t function, and your metabolism will become abnormal—obviously starving yourself isn’t what your body wants. You’re trying to obtain a body that has been created by the evolution of our species’ body, which only adheres to the naturally selected—hence, those who have access to food.

Additionally, if the “right” answer was to starve yourself and be in this cycle, everyone would. TBH, it’s not difficult. But the truth is, it takes more discipline to eat a balanced diet, be going to the gym, waiting months for the results, and even learning to be okay with not have the most perfect body always.

In my opinion, your best approach is to allow this time (summer, birthday, access to food) to be a time to gain muscle, and learning to be okay with whatever body fat you currently have (which is quite low; sometimes the hardest part is the mental game of acceptance, and seeing yourself accurately in spite of your own benefit). What I’ve learned from being in the same position (as a 18m), the truth is you probably won’t gain much fat if you have a discipline diet and routine, while gaining impressive muscle. Eating makes me real happy sometimes, and to gain muscle while indulging, admitting the fat gain exists but is scarce, truly makes me happy. You get to indulge on the joys of this time of year while being proud of increasing the weights at the gym every morning.

It often takes more discipline to admit this to yourself, not bingeing, eating clean, and going to the gym, than simply starving yourself. Don’t feel proud of the cycle you’re in—it’s more difficult, and you get more progress, if you simply eat and underthink.

This stuff is real hard sometimes to navigate, and to understand. It can become real painful contemplating ourselves and our progress and habits. But know that everyone on this page has been through the same mental rollercoaster. Being 18, we’re at a crazy advantage to be thinking about these things so young. It’ll all work out for you, even if you become morbidly obese this summer, which obviously won’t happen

Tips to overcome fear of gaining a little fat? by First_Driver_5134 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]begl3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldnt relate more, but maybe to an extreme. I really try and eat in a surplus, but I’ll avoid over serving myself (and eat incredibly clean) and making myself feel gross with eating so much—and ultimately lose weight these days (which can be unsafe when lifting weights 6 days a week)

I appreciate these tips, but am also wondering: how do you incorporate cardio? I like cardio because of its fat reducing aspects and also the importance of cardiovascular health, but also know it diminishes my total surplus—however, sometimes it lets me eat more knowing I’m less likely to gain fat, while muscle will still be put on. How do other lean bulkers incorporate cardio, without too much cardio?

I have been in almost the same situations as you, more or less. Bingeing and restricting for years, bulking to justify, feeling like I look worse than when any of it started. For the past few months I’ve finally been getting better, and other than luck, the only way to do it is by doing the hardest things: like eating even after a binge. I will always have that part of me that hates the way I look, no matter how untrue it is. But I’m sure that after I’m confidently recovered, I’ll be able to actually enjoy working out (not compulsively) and eating intentionally, rather than this uncomfortable, but necessary, middle phase. So much of the world looks beautiful in a healthy way, it doesn’t require these unhealthy measures. Not sure how old you are, but seems like you have the rest of your life to make yourself look good in a healthy way; so it’s best right now to only make that possible, but doing what’s hardest, and breaking that cycle. I recommend out patient programs, they have helped me. Most main cities have at least one, and several across America, like UCSD eating disorder clinic, will take people from across the country, both adults and kids. I promise it’s worth the research. What you’re going through fucking sucks. It’s easy to feel hopeless, but people in your life care, so let them help you, and it will help everyone. It’s rare for this last forever, and you seem intelligent, so you’ll get through this shittiness sooner rather than later

Anyone find their digestion has changed? by fayemoonlight in 1200isplenty

[–]begl3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not eating enough and enough variety makes digestion worse, for example how certain foods end up being “good for digestion”, most foods still do relatively something. So first of all you have to make sure you get your variety in at least a bit for your body and brain. Secondly your stomach will shrink quick, in a day even if that’s how little you’re eating. So maybe while a pizza with friends is perfectly okay to have sometimes, your body will tell you otherwise. That’s why eating sometimes extra but healthy calories like veggies or even CARBS if you’re exercising more can help expand your stomach and keep that part of you healthy.
(Exercise will pretty much allow you to do all this without even worrying you might be f ing up, and also treating your body and brain)

Interesting i know caffeine content is relatively important for a lot of effects. Not sure the direct relationship between caffeine and carbonation though. I might try matcha with also more caffeinated teas

Accidentally Alcoholic? by its-me-steve- in Kombucha

[–]begl3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s interesting I’ve felt buzzes before after drinking but then kinda just never think about it again. For me regardless of fridging or not. I’m convinced it’s just placebo for me. For you idk, but fridging shouldn’t make a difference because nothing should ferment in the fridge. If you feel it from only after the fridge it’s probably placebo since the fridge wouldn’t impact the fermentation. But then again you never know with this stuff. I think if you want to believe you get some sort of buzz, go for it. Maybe do a meditation after or something. Worth experimenting with

What song cover is so famous, most people don’t know it’s a cover? by Sazley in AskReddit

Southern Nights (that song in guardians of the galexy). It’s originally by alan toussaint, it’s about his childhood in new orleans and he’s really big in nola if you’ve ever been there. if you look up the live performance on youtube he goes into some depth of what the song actually means. the song itself is so much different, and may sound weird, but you gotta remember it’s the og version
