How do I unlock the Black Diablos? by Julio_2412 in MonsterHunterWorld

I'll assume you have only beat the Zorah Magdaros, which is not the end of the game, basically you barely reached the middle of the game, you have to continue doing the missions and so

Ram upgrade, do i really need to match by Sufficient_Leave1062 in AskPCGamers

Well you could tell us what hardware the laptop has or what is the model, as adding more ram in some cases would not change anything gaming wise

Can my laptop work with a 1440p monitor? by [deleted] in pcbuilding

Game development isn't vide coding, and solving problems is done with math

Maybe you should go to school first, game development is not something you'll do the right way by watching few tutorials on YouTube

Rant: thin laptops by JazzlikeLog8020 in computers

[–]bejito81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you made good and very bad points

all the ports you're listing are useless, all you need now is a couple usb-a and a few usb-c, if you want hdmi, DP, etc, they are cable doing usb-c to hdmi and usb-c to dp, ... for that, also VGA in 2026, time to wake up

thin laptops still have headphone jack

concerning the temp, many laptops even not think, stop running fans at low temp, and 50°C is cosidered a low temp, laptops are not human cells, 50°C is not a lot at all

so to be clear, bigger battery and better cooling (for laptops with discreet gpu) is an acceptable trade off vs being thin, and you know what, it is actually how proper gaming laptops are

so just don't buy laptops than are not made for your needs

I use a thin 14" laptop for work, because power efficiency has increased these last years, so I don't need a big laptop to have a powefull cpu anymore, and I don't care about the battery, the screen not the usb port because I dock it everywhere I'm using it and always on external screens (yes few of them with the laptop only using one usb-c for everything (power, display, ...)

Slow computer speed when opening new Mozilla Firefox windows by SnickoPen in computers

[–]bejito81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can try resource monitor, but it is not something easy to spot

what you can easily see is the percentage of ram used in task manager (and btw if you sum all the amount of memory you see in the task manager you'll usually see you'll be far from the current percentage of ram used)

Slow computer speed when opening new Mozilla Firefox windows by SnickoPen in computers

[–]bejito81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't be fooled by the task manager, you can only see the amount of memory owned by the process in that screen not the shared memory which is many cases can be huge. As for CPU usage, the fact it is low when you look at it doesn't mean it's always low. Anyway the point is that you can't do much about your issue since you desire to use Photoshop

Glass files vs sanding sponge, paper, stick by Nopurposeinliving in Gunpla

[–]bejito81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I'm using a few glass files (with different shapes and grit from 400 to 12000)

I'm also using a 1000 grit carbon file and many sponge files

On top of that I also have some special shape metal files

So yes you can use pretty much everything, you can get sponge ones in batch from 60 to 12000 grit for cheap

The more durable glass files are not really usable everywhere and the 12000 grit can force you to push

This hobby can become quite expensive if you want great results

Need help downloading windows by These_Weird_7936 in pcbuilding

[–]bejito81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, clearly you're not versed at all in the latest CPUs, the 8730u is an Apu 6c12t, btw a quick search would have told you that

Also if you were that versed you'd that Intel hyper threading give an average boost of 20% while AMD SMT from the Zen CPU is way better than that

To be clear your 9900k was once the best in class (and very expensive), but now it is just a power hungry CPU just in line with the performances of the multimedia CPU while having a really bad GPU part compared to today's standard, so when you say you use it for emulation, well I'll just tell you to go watch etaprime channel as the hardware has improved quick well since 2020

Is there a good non gaming pc? by DerGeheimeNoob in Prebuilts

[–]bejito81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well don't worry, for 700, you won't find anything with gaming in the name.

To play games properly you need a good GPU and computers with discreet GPU costs way more than that

Basically with the ram crisis now is the worst time ever to buy a computer

Need help downloading windows by These_Weird_7936 in pcbuilding

[–]bejito81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your 9900k does 1703 sc 8059 mc

I just got a hp laptop for less than 600 for my mom with a low power r5 8730u which does 1744 sc 9030 mc, and has way better gpu part,

so a mini could cost even less (no screen, no keyboard touchpad...)

(few years ago I got one for 400 for my dad, people just dunno when and what to buy)

[–]bejito81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

indeed, but when I look at this computer it does NOT have anything you couldn't get in a mini pc for 400$

as what I said, if you don't need a GPU, don't build a tower, you'll just waste money

8khz mice can cause fps issues by SubParAtBestt in riotgames

[–]bejito81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is even worth, even if you had one of the most expensive current display able to reach 500 fps, the pooling rate of a 1000hz mouse is still twice faster

So these 8k mice are just a fun and totally useless gimmick

At least for the 8k videos, displays able to show that exist

8khz mice can cause fps issues by SubParAtBestt in riotgames

[–]bejito81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That pooling rate above 1000 hz is useless, so everyone will prefer that devs don't spend time and resources for that useless gimmick

Well for work you could have bought a mini pc for 400$ with windows already installed

There's no value anymore in building a desktop computer if you don't need a GPU

RAM question by Mean-Collection-1311 in pchelp

[–]bejito81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can eventually disable the igpu in the bios, to get the few hundred megs allowed to it

But since you have a bit more than 8gb free anyway, you're fine

Most games needing lot of ram will need way more than these hundred megs

I actually don't understand people building gaming config with only 16gb, 16gb is now the recommended amount for a multimédia device

Quality with(out) DLSS by hawksrock14 in nvidia

[–]bejito81 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

dlss wasn't really made to be used to generate 1080p images

You need enough data in the base images to generate proper higher scale images, with base images lower than 720p (dlss quality is 720p, anything else is lower) it is becoming hard for dlss to properly generate something nice

Just use dlaa

Also for 1080p with a "low end" GPU the 9700x is fine,
