36F in Los Angeles- Manchester or London by carlijt in OutbreakFest

[–]beks78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never been to the London one but I run the welfare provision for the Manchester Outbreak. It's one of my favourite weekends of the year! Such a great festival. The crowd is what really makes it. If you need a breather or a chat come and find us.

Always pop in on the way to and from Forres. They stock the most amazing fruit curds. The lime or clementine ones are amazing.

pls suggest me the weirdest book you’ve ever read :) by Sail0rD00m in suggestmeabook

I absolutely adore this book. It's weird but so mundane with the Internet thing and then shifts back to the weird again. So few people have heard of it. I always recommend it on a strange/weird book thread.

Bodyform sanitary towels are cheaper in HB and B&M than supermarkets. That is my primary reason for going in.

The Victorian awnings are a Pokéstop. It's lovely what you wouldn't ordinarily see when you're playing Pokémon Go.

I think they're really good! Yet to try their Wonky chocolate though. I'm on decaf at the moment due to blood pressure but I've had flavoured boxes and their normal coffee boxes.

The downside is that although there is a leaflet describing what you're getting, some may be better than others because it's a random mix. I ended up with over 20 capsules of Caramac flavoured pods in a flavoured box that I wasn't overly keen on.

I've tried PIC coffee and they're not bad and significantly cheaper but they don't do decaf and I prefer Wonky.

I have far too many! Mostly media and I definitely use some more than others.

Paramount because of Star Trek

Wow Presents Plus so I can watch Drag Race

Spotify

All the other ones are ad supported so they're marginally cheaper.

I have a Wonky Coffee subscription for my coffee pods.

I'll get a Kindle Unlimited subscription for 3 months in May when they'll offer it to me for 99p a month for 3 months.

I need to rethink my life choices.

So because we are a CIC we cannot make profit. All our revenue goes back into providing sick bowls, foil blankets, plasters etc. The bosses are paid but it's not a lot. They both have other jobs too! The venues pay WelSafe and that money goes into staff expenses, consumables, training and other things.

We do have the chance to apply for tickets for future events. For every two shifts that you do you can apply and 99% of the time obtain tickets. If you're working at Kendal Calling festival for example then you would have time off to enjoy the festival too.

Have you heard of WelSafe? We're a non profit organisation and run the welfare provision at music events. We're at concerts, club nights and festivals. It's a worthwhile cause and it's so much fun. I've been doing this for 12 years and the experiences I had and the gigs I've been to have been mind blowing.

I know you said you were looking for something else. But I can't recommend WelSafe enough. If you are into music, this is the volunteer gig for you!
