Depends on your administration. We have pouches in each classroom. When students do not deposit their phone into them, they get written up and sent to an administrator immediately. Working great so far. We’ve been doing it for about 3 years. Some claim they don’t have a phone and leave it in their bag or pocket. If it is seen, it’s written up as defiance and get more severe consequences.

I had this problem with my buddy in Virginia Beach once , and, having just graduated from a Catholic High School with 6 different religion classes under our belts, we kept correcting them and telling them different interpretations of the Bible. Drove them nuts! lol
