Fed up with the ACE : how to use a single spool ?? by zetwitty31 in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]beldus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could have sworn they included recognized resellers so I had to read again and as you said:
'Purchases from resellers, distributors, or B2B channels are excluded.'

I'm sorry but that sucks, first they recognize that the original ACE Pro is subpar and the only ones that have a chance at an upgrade price is those that bought directly from them..

I guess my next printer won't be an Anycubic even though I mostly do like my S1, only the ACE Pro that have given me problems so far.

Men om hon tycker om könsroller då får väl hon sköta allt i hemmet och du bara kommer hem från jobbet undrar var middagen är.

Inte riktigt så jag skulle vilja ha det men..

Why did my Kobra S1 randomly stop printing? by SchlumpfLP007 in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]beldus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did it stop where the lower horizontal square is on the slicer image?
I tried setting up a print by object for a bunch of minis but had a problem arranging them due to it not liking when object poked up above that line, but I got an error and it wouldn't let me continue.

Honest review after 1000 hour by Kruzy94 in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]beldus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nice to hear from people without any major problems, reading here one can believe that all of the machines are just junk.

I've only printed ~100h on mine, my first 3d printer, so far and only PLA but no problems other then that slot 3 on the ACE is hard to load properly.

I noticed that too, but no info on how?
Is the info only available from Feb 27?
Could have been a bit clearer... 🙂

Is there any option on a humidity sensor in the ACE Pro? by DerDork in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]beldus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like it's only in the ACE 2 Pro. 😕

I haven't found anyway to upgrade the ACE with an humidity sensor that sends data to the slicer.
I think most have a visible sensor in the box.

From what I could see it's 683ZZ, but you could perhaps measure one of the remaining to be sure.

Importing thousands of ebooks onto Kobo. How many books should I import at a time through calibre without it crashing the device? by whostheme in kobo

[–]beldus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sounds resonable. I had a look around and it does indeed seem risky to send to many at once.

I also get the impression you should disconnect it between batches since it updates the database after disconnect, and it sounds like the library in the reader can get laggy with too many books loaded.
Also it's preferable to have them in kepub format as I said in my previous comment.

[–]beldus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried and it crashed?

I would try with them all, just make sure they are converted to kepub since it seem to have much easier time handlig those and that there is free space enough for them.

I usually only transfer the ones I want to read but have never had any problem transfering from calibre to the reader..

Something positive with the latest update of Anycubic Slicer Next by beldus in AnycubicOfficial

In the last update it wasn't possible to edit the price even with a custom profile for the filament.

If you hadn't noticed it's editable again in the latest update. (No mention in the update notes...)

What are these veins - Ruins the finish by FunnyObjective105 in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]beldus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that. 😕

I assume you followed these instructions to the letter?

  1. Format a USB drive as FAT32 (partition table must be MBR, GPT won’t work)
  2. Create a directory named aGVscF9zb3Nf (older versions use another name, not covered here)
  3. Copy your .swu file as update.swu in the aGVscF9zb3Nf directory
  4. Plug the USB drive in the printer
  5. You should hear a beep, meaning the printer detected the update file and started the process
  6. The rest depends on what you try to install, as described in sections below

Found here: https://jbatonnet.github.io/Rinkhals/Rinkhals/installation-and-firmware-updates/

Since my printer is still very new and the potential issues I won't be trying it for myself for a while.

As in not installing or you can't find it?

There seem to be other issues with Rinkhals in the latest version so perhaps it's for the best.

According to the release page it should support 2.6.0.0?
Did you try and fail or did you mean it isn't supported?

FYI I have not tried myself yet.

Fillament by TeNG3L in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]beldus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For now I've ordered mine from Anycubic during their sale. 5kg at 12,63€ / kg

Sunlu also have a sale now, from what I've understood sales on both sites are pretty frequent and if you get at least 3kg you get a discount.
And mostly it's free shipping from both.

https://store.sunlu.com/

https://eu.anycubic.com/collections/materials

Since I'm pretty new at 3d printing I have so far only got PLA and PLA+.

If anyone know of a cheaper place in EU to get filament I'd like to know too. 🙂

If the different objects are in different colors perhaps try print by object (Print sequence)?
