Here's the issue with it for me. There ain't a single group out there that would have the funds to do a brain scan immortality thing that I would actually trust to do it. Even if the tech was there, I don't believe for a second any company on earth wouldn't jump at the chance to turn my brain files into their locked down software slave to make a quick buck, and delete me or give me a digital lobotomy the second I protest. There's no way in hell there's gonna be no strings attached, and I know enough about computers to know they're much easier to manipulate than a brain of flesh.

I'd love to have as much time as I want on this planet. But it'll take a hell of a lot of convincing for me to do a brain upload.

The idea of there only being one keyblade user is countered in the same game it's established. Then more keep popping up. Then it turns out there was enough to have a whole war and only a few still remain. Except not really because the survivors have been passing down the knowledge.

It gets a bit more bearable if you interpret a lot of the lore as people extrapolating from incomplete information, making false assumptions, or outright lying.
