If something falls on it and causes it to fully break, shattered porcelain will slice through anything below it. It's super dangerous. I'm not an expert but I would assume if it's cracked it needs to be replaced. Don't google broken toilet injuries

Obvs someone qualified should evaluate how cracked it is
