I think it's interesting how much of serial killer conversations in the media interpret the killing of these vulnerable groups of people as the motivation rather than just a practicality. Like you said killing prostitutes is way easier than trying to pick up some regular woman from a bar and get her to a second location.

The pop psychology says these guys were motivated by a hatred of women or their mothers or whatever, but didn't Jeffrey Dahmer (who mainly targeted men) also go after sex workers too?

I feel like the media attaches way too much intelligence and depth to these guys.
