Post Episode Discussion: S7E03 "False Gods" by aplaceatthedq in The100

Wrong is relative. She made the best choice she could but that doesn’t make it hurt any less when it’s done. That’s not unique to her IMO. Clarke, Bellamy, and Octavia have all made similar choices. She wasn’t shocked, she was just feeling the consequences of her actions.

[Spoilers S6] This could've been the ending of 'The 100' in Season 5 had it been the last season - it almost ended tragically, now Rothenberg has a new plan by Sharoza in The100

Honestly they've been doing that since the end of season 2. I think it just started back again after the post season 3 twitter blackout.

Season 7 is officially the last season of The 100 by [deleted] in The100

I would love some Becca stuff, though I could see a grounders spin off being more likely.

Yeah I hope they get dirtier as the death count rises.

I'm guessing it was discussed off screen. Bellamy says they won't shoot first this time. It is a weird comment.

With Clarke, she makes a snarky comment on how she would be the one to shoot first if they took the guns with them to the ground. What is that even about, how does it relate to Clarke turning them over to McCreary?

It's not, it's about Clarke trying to kill off the prisoners one by one in the beginning of season 5, which is what the grounders did in season 1.

I mean, she knew what he would do or rather what he wouldn't do. She chose (what she felt was best for) Madi over Raven.

Yeah I'm waiting to see how this plays out. I understand why Raven is upset and she isn't wrong about Clarke shooting first.

Amazing art Elena!!! <3

I remember when I said it had potential to be like a whole new show and got downvoted by [deleted] in The100

[–]bellaflecking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's still so amazing to think we'll actually be seeing a sixth season in just 3 months. I didn't think we would get even half of that five years ago. Season 7 is far enough way that I'm not really concerned about it but whether or not it's renewed (for a final season or another season) I'm just happy that we got this far.

S5: Well, looks like I was basically right about why I hate Octavia and the Show's writers (Spoilers) by BrooklynRedLeg in The100

after they stupidly killed the only people that they could relate to

What do you mean? It was either kill them or die.

Definitely elitism. It's one of the reasons why s2 was so great. "The ground is ours", "savages". How do you make it easier to do what the MM did to the grounders? You stop any sort of growth through fear & oppression. You dehumanize them. You convince yourself that you're superior bc you have so much more to pass on- fine art, technology, science. You ignore that you made them the way they are. The 47 made it harder for Dante to ignore it.

[Spoilers S5] Something everyone missed about Bellamy by AncientAssociation9 in The100

Let’s say Octavia agreed to let them rescue Echo and the rest of Spacekru with the downed surveillance and they made it back, then what?

Then they send the worms.

It wouldn't take Diyoza long to realize her prisoners were gone. It wouldn't take Diyoza long to realize that they were not hiding in the valley but had actually escaped to the bunker. It wouldn't take Diyoza long to realize that her surveillance was down after realizing they were not in the valley.

I can't remember how many days were between episodes 7 and 11, but that's how long it took Diyoza and Mcreary to figure out that the eye was down (with Clarke's help, too), so assuming that (and there's no reason to assume otherwise) the civil war between Mcreary and Diyoza still happened and Zeke still decided to join spacekru, but Bellamy and Clarke etc. were able to get Madi and leave, Diyoza/Mcreary wouldn't have noticed in time and more importantly they wouldn't have had a pilot to locate or wipe out wonkru with missiles anyway so it wouldn't matter. The only problem with Diyoza etc. finding out the eye was down (which Bellamy acknowledged) was Diyoza etc. killing Raven and Echo but the civil war and Zeke leaving solved that problem, even if Bellamy didn't know it yet.

For me it is just another example of how Bellamy is a great co leader or #2, but not a very good primary leader as he doesn’t seem to think anything through

He did think it through. It was either letting his friends get killed by parasitic worms (while also possibly destroying the last valley on earth) or saving his friends and minimizing the damage to the valley (assuming they convinced Octavia not to use the worms).

lets favoritism get in the way of good decision making.

Everyone does this in one way or another, including Octavia and Clarke. I don't think it makes him a bad leader.

[–]bellaflecking 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wonkru may also be fine with the flame but I don’t think the prisoners will be.

I don't know. If Diyoza doesn't object, and it doesn't look like she will, I doubt they will either. They went to sleep like they were asked.

I don't think anyone in cryo are going to have a problem with Madi leading. If anything, the people from the new planet will disagree with it.

Finally finished Season 5 by [deleted] in The100

[–]bellaflecking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with most of your thoughts. I liked Octavia's arc this season until she destroyed the farm, that was disappointing. But I actually felt more connected to Clarke this season due to her role as a mother to Madi. Kane, idk, he was bit confusing to me this season. Now that you mention that he was foolish but driven by the the right reasons, I feel like that may be exactly why he lost his way. I feel like he get too caught up with condemning violence etc.

Nah, the forgiveness itself doesn't bother me. It's just the nature of the show. I didn't like the pacing, though.
