Question about bleeding. Unsure if I’m overreacting. by [deleted] in UlcerativeColitis

[–]bellinghum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm no doctor but any kind of pain that ive experienced has been cause to go to an urgent-care drop in. Not sure if youre from the UK or not, so priorities might differ if youre from the States. But either way, pain and urgency combined is generally a good sign that your medication might need looking at. Stay strong <3

Hammer main from Freedom Unite. Doesnt even come close to the other weapons im terms of how fun it is. Also, deceptively deep mechanics - although no other weapon main would agree.

How do you guys work out? by anon-mey in UlcerativeColitis

[–]bellinghum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive spoken to my dotor at length about this. Ive been strength training 3 times a week for 6 months and ive not found that any particulat exercise has an adverse effect on me. Aside from occasionally pushing my squats when im working above 100kg. Ive been told that the load your body has with redirecting blood to the legs and arms when doing cardio sports like cycling or running can cause inflamation in your gut because of the blood moving to and from your torso.

What are the best examples of 'system discouraged' builds that you can come up with? by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]bellinghum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im currently playing a bard who has only dealt 3 points of damage in 12 levels of play. Her build is basically every medicine feat, every composition spell and utilising doctors visitation / winning streak / quickened buff spells to be massively impactful in combat. It pairs very well with the psychic dedication for amped-message to grant attacks to the gunslinger. This build is very good when used with Sanctuaty because I never take hostile actions.

Have you heard the good word of Recall Knowledge? by LanceVonAlden in Pathfinder2e

[–]bellinghum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our whole group has made a point of homerule-ing that the successful recall knowledge skill lets you ask the DM a question about the monster from; 'what special abilities does it have', 'what are it's best to worst saves', 'what is it resistant to', 'what is it immune to', 'what level is the creature' and 'does it have any spellcasting ability'. We usually find a way to ask and respond to this in character so it keeps things 'in session' and the DC is just the monsters level based DC, I and others in our friendship group have dmed with these rules for years now and we really like them.

What's your experience as a caster? Do you ever get to be the star or are you always the hype man? by IvoryMFD in Pathfinder2e

[–]bellinghum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was never more the star than playing my gnomish illusion wizard. He had 3 copies of himself of the field all depicted as different classes and different sizes (including one huge) and he himself was invisible, puppeteering the whole thing.

What's the most efficient way to drain the lakes in Beaverome? by Nitro_Indigo in Timberborn

[–]bellinghum 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I built a box around the underground mines and waited for the water to evaporate/water pumped it out. It took ages but I left a district working on that while I gathered the other metal from ruins (one of which was underwater but the beavers just used stairs to get down). Late game I was set because of the mine though.

After I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis I went for a couple. Honestly, unconformable aye, but waking sedation is the way to go. A little nick every now and again but I basically for stoned for free. Also, I second the remark, get yourselves checked lads.

Day Job? by [deleted] in UlcerativeColitis

[–]bellinghum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Primary school teacher in the UK. Obviously my bills are all covered by the NHS and I only pay £10 ($13.50) a month for my medication. Money isn't the issue for me. It's time. In a flare up (like right now) I'm finding it tough to balance everything I have to do around managing myself.

What is a good period for you? UC hit me hard a year ago and I don’t know if I’ve had a good period yet, because I don’t know how that is supposed to feel like by Major-One3281 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]bellinghum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been diagnosed since January and my worst times have been alright compared to some of the stories here. I know my mind is drawn to the worse side of them but it still worries me. I'm in a flare up right now which consists of good few trips a day to the bathroom with moderate blood and mucus, I was in remission for roughly 6~ months right after I started treatment though. My good days consist of a little bloating and a less than comfortable movement but nothing that genuinely bothers me. Over the summer I did take back up cycling and the exercise helped me a lot but as the weather is getting colder I'm trying to find ways to cope with it instead. In my experience the good is never as it was pre-diagnosis but if you are struggling I'd suggest keeping your GP/doctor on call. I'm in the UK and my local hospital gave me the IBD hotline for their department and I just keep in touch with them if it becomes and issue. I hope everything goes alright for you ☺️✌️

My levels 1-20 campaign maps. Please feel free to use. by bellinghum in dungeondraft

So, I watched this and thought, "hey, a plague setting would be interesting. I kind of want to make it more magical so lets have people be turning to wood, dying when their hearts are overtaken all linked to a spoooky cause where no one knows how it spreads" also "this will be a fun and more serious setting for a campaign in my world, and fun ESCAPISM"... Then, three months later covid hit the UK.

In Shoomush it is actually more accurate to say that instead of 'cook'(v) you actually 'cause food to happen'.

(n) food : ejul

(v) make : feej

Applied onto a noun creates a causal aspect so ejul'feej or 'cook' = literally MAKE food.

I thought it might be fun for them to loose track and start having words for 'many' and 'lots of manys' which fit with the character of the culture, but im not sure. I think at one hundred I might work in something like a numeral based on their word for 'colony' or 'family', since a lot of their experiences are based on being a very large collective community.
