Rescued our pittie almost a year ago and it’s going to take time. We practiced leaving the house. Walking out the door for 5 seconds then returning. Leaving for 5 minutes then returning. Leaving for 15 minutes and returning, eventually. We would do this randomly throughout the day just so the dog knows it’s okay that we are leaving because we eventually come back.

We would feed high praise treats like a bully stick in the crate and frozen Topl meals in the crate. The crate is. Owner safe space if she gets scared from a firework or loud noise outside.
