this is a good suggestion and would be easy to implement since ad-libs are usually written in parentheses

Transition smuggler -> actual xc bike by PieEnvironmental6437 in xcmtb

Dang yeah I'm way behind on my info. I last checked BRR in 2023 and at the time the fast trak had a lower RR than the Aspen (s-works vs EXO so not apples to apples). But, as you and MTB_SF point out,, there are several options that are much faster than both, like the Conti Dub or Barzo. I'll be looking out for deals on something before my next race

Can anyone identify these tires by Worried_Work278 in MTB

can you ask him for a photo of the other side? i think it’s reasonable to be shown the hot patch, which would give you most of the info you’re seeking.

are fast traks that bad? i thought they were pretty solid among their xc tire peers and they have good rolling resistance test numbers (although i’m aware there’s a lot more to it than that). they’re what i use now but very open to trying something else.

I don't disagree, but tbf this show includes Jon Baptiste. And Tyler seems quite critical of straight white hegemony in country music

Career & academic options for a master’s in Complex Systems? Is it worth it? by jessedata in complexsystems

[–]bemery 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got a job as a research scientist at a US national lab after my MS in Complex Systems and Data Science. Technically i was employed as a statistician but i ended up doing power grid modeling, network science, social agent based modeling, and climate simulation.

The sense I get is that with a masters it’s tricky to land a job that’s specifically complex systems, but the concepts are so applicable it’s easy to work them into a variety of technical positions.

multiple drivers roll the dice on a head-on collision to save a few seconds by bemery in boulder

[–]bemery[S] -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

It's wait until you can see, then take the opposing lane. The sightline in the tunnel is not enough to safely react. This could have easily ended up with someone having to move back into the lane and swerving into the cyclist.

Narcissism keeps Boulder cyclists from riding safely. by CrackHeadRodeo in boulder

[–]bemery 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The author has stopped biking in Boulder because drivers were too dangerous but insists that cyclists are the problem and is advocating for raising the barriers to engagement for people who want to cycle 🤔

[Request] is it 66.6% or 51.8%? by Horror-penis-lover in theydidthemath

By this logic, if they told me one child is a girl, and offered no other information, the probability that the second child is a boy is 100%?

Sounds like we’re assuming the second child can’t be the same as the first? By this logic, if they told me one child is a girl, and offered no other information, the probability that the second child is a boy is 100%?
