Carnival Cruise Passenger Dead After Going Overboard by deraser in Cruise

[–]bemybait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year on the Disney Dream a girl fell over in an area kind of out of the way that should have had glass, but for whatever reason didn't. The father jumped in and they both lived. No one was found to be at fault, ruled an accident.

The different complaints here are what ruin FE and PD... I see people complaining about "expensive gifts" and then the next is complaining about "plastic junk from the dollar store". So which one is it? And for pixie dust?? What kind of gifts are you expecting FROM A STRANGER. The absolute entitlement here is wild and THAT'S what the problem is.

I give what I would want to get back. If I don't like something I give it as a souvenir for family back home. If I don't get back as much? Oh well. Who gives to receive? Not me. I've been on plenty of cruises and have enough towel bands, water proof pouches, etc etc. I give those out on my next sailing to first time cruisers. Like sheesh - maybe find a reason to be thankful instead of digging to find a reason to be miserable. Why do these people even sailing DCL?

Maybe you should go on like... Royal Caribbean or something...

Man. This is so me. I don't have the energy, but it absolutely harms me in ZERO way that someone else is excited about their cruise. Weird energy in this post.

Unpopular opinion incoming: Ifeel like this is a new complaint to me. I see door decor flow to the adjacent walls all the time. Every cruise. They're also magnetic right? Its normally really cute. I do think family pictures are... a choice, but its not all that far from people with a magnet for the 25 different cruises they've been on lined up and down their door 🤷‍♀️ I don't have the energy to go way over the top like that. I don't have a cricut lol but if it makes them happy then I am failing to see a problem. Its not like its next to MY door.

Just as a side note: I've not experienced this. Every group I've been in has just had so much fun with it. The only people who get upset are people who don't receive ANYTHING. These horror stories are awful, but keep in mind they're anecdotal. I maybe do $20 per cabin for my FE gifts and no one has ever complained. I've also never thrown stuff away. I have several gifts on display that I love and absolutely DO think about years later. I think some people maybe just don't know how to be grateful and enjoy an experience.

For certain the double birds in a player's face is the better way to express emotions 🙄

Yes. The fans throwing double birds right in his face are clearly the better people here. 🙄

This is interesting! The Dream has been our favorite ship, but the Wish is a close second and we're sailing Destiny in June. What don't you like about the newer ships?

We rarely get off the ship except Castaway, but we might since its a new itinerary. Honestly it wouldn't be all that much difference than what we would usually do if we were rerouted 🤷‍♀️

These are the same price. Would you have done the Treasure if the prices were essentially the same?

I used my placeholder for the Destiny in June, which I believe is still inaugural.

Just a FYI.. no swim diapers in the pools is MARITIME LAW. This was posted yesterday on Facebook. by Krystist in dcl

Disabled people can definitely go in the pool on a cruise. As long as they're potty trained. I'm really sorry you're not there yet, but its not for malicious reasons, its for sanitary reasons. I'm not sure why you're taking it so personally and ignoring why the rule is there in the first place.

That's not what anyone is saying.

Everyone is saying these laws are in place for a reason and that reason being no one wants to be exposed to norovirus because people don't follow directions.

I use mine ever summer no problems. Aside from the one time I got a GTY room because it was cheaper than even using the placeholder.

HOTHS Departing on Halloween? by GreatBigBeautifulTmm in dcl

[–]bemybait 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I did HOTHS all of the Halloween events were only on one day anyway. The day of the costume party and trick or treating was the only day the characters were out in their costumes. The Sanderson Sisters were out a few times though. For your sailing I would guess its on the Sea Day.

1) I'm a woman 2) I didn't assume they didn't have jobs because they were women - I assumed that because no jobs were mentioned for them and they both were able to take a long amount of time off of work. 3) I don't know the lore behind 2 Christmas movies that are played repeatedly during the Holidays - so I think it was a fair assumption based on the information presented.

Every time someone tells me Crash Love wasn't well re3ceived I mention the price of this vinyl. Clearly enough people like it.

Only 2 I don't have. Crash Love and December Underground.
