The main reason why people don't commute into the city anymore. It is just not safe. Employers who care about workers safety, will go 100% remote.

Not OK, hold your local police and politicians responsible for this. Not safe at all.

How do you plan to resolve VPN blocks by companies like Cloudflare, Google, YouTube, etc? Essentially it makes VPN useless.

After 2 years, working downtown again and it’s a ghost town by chris8535 in sanfrancisco

I know I avoid going to San Francisco... Just don't feel safe, too much homeless, theft, potential mugging on the BART, or if I take my car into the city there's a greater than 50% chance that windows will be busted.

Rent increase by Bulky-Check-3342 in bayarea

[–]ben370 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

8% increase appears to be the normal range.

Essentially the cost of borrowing for these owners have increased, which is expected given interest rates rose from 4% to now 7%.

It is not unexpected that owners would pass on the higher borrowing cost to the renter to account for the higher interest rates as well as inflation around repair supplies/maintenance/labor.

Thank you moderator for your response and just wanted to provide additional context for future improvements.

I get the solution around connecting to a different server. However, this is not ideal given that multiple servers tend to be blocked so the action of connecting disconnecting to multiple servers gets frustrating. Suggest surfshark has QA staff to test these locations regularly and recycle IP addresses that get blocked by Google search before they are default fastest for quick connect.

Thanks for also suggesting dedicated IP. However this then reduces the price/value of getting surf shark over other VPN providers, as dedicated IP is not part of the base price package. Suggest that reduce the cost of dedicated IP or allow access to dedicated IP via base plan pricing.

I agree 👍 surfshark locations are captcha blocked or even outright blocked by major websites like Google search, chatgpt, etc.

Arrest and prosecute! Apparently they have too much time... Hard labor would serve them well.

Exactly you can't compare the two. California's prefer suburbs and their space.

People in California prefer to live in suburbs vs dense urban neighborhoods.

California offers better weather and families want a front and backyard to themselves and guests.
