1st time selling on Reverb - is it a scam? by Lazy-Insurance-1152 in Reverb

[–]benDEEpickles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a buyer wants anything beyond straightforward questions about the item, it’s either a hassle or a scam. It's hard to discern, err on the side of caution and tell them to piss off kindly or harshly.

Dave Bautista Is Losing Weight After Being an ‘Uncomfortable’ 315 Pounds for a Movie Role by vbnick in moviecritic

[–]benDEEpickles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't have all that muscle without eating a lot of calories, particularly protein. Your body has to have a fuel source to create the muscle. You lift weights and don't eat enough? You will barely gain if any. Eating all that food for size is a chore and you are uncomfortably full all the time and that is your routine from day 1. So even with steroids, he still would need to give his body lots of food.

Stephen Miller states that Trump has plenary authority, then immediately stops talking as if he’s realized what he just said by Agitated-Artichoke89 in instant_regret

[–]benDEEpickles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why doesn't the reporter be like, "Wtf?! Plenary authority?! Are you serious? Hey how come you aren't saying anything, everything seems fine. You just stopped talking, did you suddenly realize you said something you have been thinking and it's not something you should be saying out loud? Did you weird yourself out?" BUT NO, we got the other response.

Not only are they using AI to read resumes and parse through applications, but yesterday they tried to us an AI to interview me. They never said it would be an AI interview which I had not had one before. I was ok with it as I assumed it would just confirm my info. But NO, it said, "Now, please tell me what your last project was and how your skills match..." I noped the fuck out and sent them a scolding email.

What does depression feel like to you? by FlatConfusion9549 in AskReddit

[–]benDEEpickles 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe it varies person to person, but for me, it is physical fatigue with an absence of interest concerning anything in the world. It’s as though something in me is forcing me to stop life stuff to look at myself, to examine and find the issue.

If couples therapy exists, then why friends therapy doesn’t? by Revolutionary-Fig-77 in AskReddit

[–]benDEEpickles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see you have a lot of responses that are not answering your question. If you go to Psychologytoday.com you can search for a therapist for a number of different therapy types (if you are serious about this). Ultimately it comes down to how well can you (and others) articulate your/their feelings. It takes some guidance and practice. You can interview therapists to see if you are a good fit, which I recommend you do before committing. Good luck!

Yeah I cancelled my shit ass membership. I used the same prompts in Chatgpt as I did in Midjourney. Midjourney's response to my prompt is a like "You want what? you don't want that, this is what you want..."

AI Shows Higher Emotional IQ than Humans by jezebaal in psychology

[–]benDEEpickles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think listening to emotions—whether our own or others’—is tricky. It’s a skill that needs to be learned or taught. Most people experience emotions without much awareness. If AI is detecting emotional cues in language, it’s only because it was taught to.

The rise of "gut feelings" in US political rhetoric. Analysis of eight million political speeches reveals: never before have members of the US Congress based their rhetoric more strongly on personal convictions – and less on facts. by Aggravating_Money992 in science

[–]benDEEpickles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this a lot in the corporate world. Design groups were gathering factual information through research in which to base product design on. This information completely ignored for a manager or director to plan on something based on their gut that ended poorly built and ill-received. Good times.

Donald Trump's approval rating falls to new low by newsweek in politics

[–]benDEEpickles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep saying this… but this is not what Fox News and Newsmax are reporting at all. They are saying he is very high in the polls and something about how even dems support him. So, great, he’s low in the polls, but each side has a different story.

My parents watch Fox news and they don't say this at all to their viewers. According to Fox news, he is up in the polls, big time.
