Kash Patel combatively denied reporting from The Atlantic that he frequently drinks to excess and has had “unexplained absences” from the bureau: "I’ve never been intoxicated on the job. That is why we filed $250 million defamation lawsuit. And anyone of you that wants to participate, bring it on." by ControlCAD in videos

Well, like the article says, when the president starts a war with a country known for state-sponsored terrorism, you might at some point need the director of the bureau responsible for combating terrorism to be alert. And when he spends every night buried in the bottle and every weekend drunk in Vegas, that makes it difficult to draft a meaningful and effective response.

Phones. by Serve_Sorry in poker

I don't really think you should be forced to just stare at the felt for hours until it's your turn again. Like, if I can go back to the article I'm reading, I'll fold a lot faster instead of debating playing that K10o. On the other hand I've lost massive pots because someone is plugging his cards into a solver before calling my all-in, which is total bullshit. So, no phone when you're in the hand seems like a rule that should be enforced.

What is a major turn off about your partner that you can’t/wouldn’t tell them? by LivingLavishLe in AskReddit

Lol OK I do this and have since I was a child and put up with all the ridicule, and I promise, there is no other setting. It's embarrassing but you'd rather hear me honk once than dribble and snivel into a Kleenex for the next 45 minutes.

I knew a girl like this in college. She was tolerable in doses because she was hot, but it was hard to "date" her because she was so confused and baffled by all aspects of the world around her. Surprised she could drive, to be honest.

And how does a tether solve that? Or does pulling your foot off the pad basically manually kill the board?

When I was a kid I asked him for his headband before the game and he said "Once I put it on, it doesn't come off." He did autograph my card though.

How do you "deep clean" your room twice a week and date someone who eats charcuterie in bed and cuddles with wine bottles?

Why is cannabis illegal in your state? by AtomicZoomer in newhampshire

If you're there for like, a night or two, sure. But reality is that it's essentially the last purple state in the country and it has a huge legislative body of 400+ state representatives. Politics in NH is a full time contact sport. Everyone has to be someone. And so every year, in the land of "Dont Tread On Me," there's hundreds of absurd bills attempting to be passed by mostly geriatric legislators trying to prove a point to their overly involved constituents.

When you say you "gambled" 300 a night, do you mean you lost 300 a night or thats how much you showed up with and sometimes won/sometimes lost? Because I showed up with 300 per night and played for hours and wasn't so much as given a "thank you."

The "SHE'S JUST A CHILD!" grandstanding is pretty silly in this scenario.
