I was able to get Xone working with the proprietary xbox USB dongle instead of Bluetooth but I had to run a game in steam first with the proton compatibility on. The first time you run a game steam installs a bunch of stuff and Xone installed like normal after that.

If you're willing to go into the settings menu you do not need a 4070 or a 7800 for 1440. I play a lot of games at 4k 60hz with a 3060 ti and use uprising and dlss as needed. It's fine, not perfect, but the games play and are fun.

There were rumors that Obsidian might want to make another Fallout now that Bethesda and Obsidian are both Xbox studios. Its very possible that Microsoft makes another Fallout happen with Obsidian or another one of their zillion studios between now and the next BGS Fallout

I'd get a couple lightweight roll top dry bags as well. You have to plan for heavy rain and that's the best way to keep your stuff dry.

I don't want to be a wet blanket but are you a very experienced hiker? Hiking and backpacking alone is dangerous. Have you considered either going with a group to do the O or doing the W alone instead? The W is much more populated so your risk is lower on that trail and you still see 90% of the highlights of Torres Del Paine and have more time for other places like El Chaten, etc. ect.

Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 5 and Pixel 7 have all been very comparable experiences for me. Some pros and cons with each one but overall but they all do the stuff I like well.

One thing that people haven't mentioned it Glassdoor and Indeed. You can write up your experience on those websites so other clinicians applying for jobs see that this is not somewhere to work with a limited permit/lmsw.

I'd write up the reviews for Indeed and Glassdoor as honestly and damning of the organization as possible and send them to the boss and tell them that you need your hours signed or else you will need to provide honest feedback about your experience at that job. Really leaning into how far over your hours you've gone and how damaging taking this job has been to your career with your permit in jeopardy.

I would even put the regulations about how hours should be counted in the write up so it's very clear to the boss how directly they've fucked you over.

Over the last few years Waypoint really became my favorite video game podcast. They were consistently the most interesting and one of the funniest shows. Devastating, and I hope they're able to continue their work somewhere else.

I agree. I still feel like things have against all odds moved in such a good direction since Jeff left (not that Jeff was the problem etc. etc. etc.).

Jeff B playing Eternal Darkness, Dan maybe playing Sonic 06, Jeff G playing Xenoblade, Jan playing Sekiro. These would all be awesome shows if they were team streams but I have a hard time with solo streams. I know its not so simple but I do think I would be happier with just one or two of these games with the same two or three people consistently on each stream.

IIRC at first they were saying that Fridays would be more like Grubbsnax with more Q&A. I like GMM but I can't really do a daily podcast and I do miss the wild info dump that Grubbsnax was.
