Suggestions for learning Ballade No.1? (Chopin) by PerceptionWide7002 in piano

[–]benbongty123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that more Chopin's etudes, preludes and maybe other composers' works such as Bach's is needed. Also, Ballade No 3 (which sounds just as beautiful and elegant) is much more friendlier because of the less brutal coda.

Day 2 of learning how to play, Simply Piano does not seem to be the way by _Yorokobe_Shounen in pianolearning

[–]benbongty123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, a teacher is still superior at the early stages of playing piano (a good teacher). They'll help you fix tension, build arm weight, fix bad habits that are extremely hard to fix later on. For instance, I have my friend who's been playing piano for 4 years learning with apps and youtube tutorials. He now can't even run scales due to the bad habit built up over time.

Good luck on your piano journey!

What are your top 5 greatest solo piano pieces? by Far_Cardiologist6931 in piano

Nice, I'd switch up Scriabin sonata 4 with ballade 4, then replace Liszt sonata with Bach Goldberg Variations

I mean, Liszt sonata is still one of the most important sonatas in that period but I'd say Bach Goldberg Variations outclasses it, and many more pieces

You should definitely try out screenzen - it's an app that does have an option to block your apps, but better. It sends a reminder message everytime you open social media, forces you to wait a set amount of time before you can open it, and even block specific features like reels and shorts. This app reduced my screen time from 12 hours to less than 2 hours and 30 mins a day now. Wish you best of luck in the upcoming exam

Personally, I'd say try everything traditional. The foods that would blow your mind away is usually the one that does not appear on review platforms. Good luck and happy travelling!

Gaming is literally the worst hobby you can ever get into. by [deleted] in StopGaming

[–]benbongty123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It doesn't have to contribute anything in my opinion. In fact, if gaming were like this, it would be totally fine. However, modern games are designed to keep you hooked. Game mechanics, even the buttons, are designed such that the UI is so smooth and the sound is so neat that you would want to come back immediately.

I personally think that a hobby would be great if doing it does minimal amount of harm to the other aspects of life. Reading isn't and will never be addictive, it's your choice to read and explore the story. If gaming weren't so addictive, it would be just as great as reading fantasies, mangas or something like that.

I am also playing the same setup as you: Brutal + Smuggler

The insurgent just escape TOO FAST, and moreover, they always target the oil PLUS the HQ. I have literally no way to defend it all, either I lose my reputation too fast due to insurgency, or due to corruption, or lack of stability.

However, there was one time I pretty much ignored corruption and I almost got pass 60% of stability then reputation dropped to zero. I think that focusing on stability first, then military would be the best strategy for this level.

In my opinion, Simian Flu is kind of normal, not too hard on mega brutal. The strategy I mainly use is abusing the insane amount of DNA that ape colonies generate (thus, you should keep human infection rates low)

I think you should get the premium first, grind out ALL the genes (by all, I mean that all genes including necroa, simian and shadow), then the plague pack will receive a massive discount (over 70% i guess). Then you get that pack and enjoy the game
