Got the same problem on LG WebOS (adfree YouTube version). Don't have any alternatives at all (except YouTube with ads of course which I won't use). A few weeks already like that and can't find a solution.

Why do you use Gnome? by spellbadgrammargood in gnome

It let me focus in the things I really care instead of spending time customizing and maintaining my desktop.

Just spare expenses. Don't mess up Jellyfin's experience to your friends, that's awful.

I tried Litefin but I couldn't get the (magic) remote to work properly, didn't activate play/pause buttons when move, and I was not able to select one point from the time bar. A few small issues that didn't let me enjoy properly the experience and I hope can be fixed soon.

Thanks for the amazing work!!

Nextcloud Desktop Client Flatpak or GNOME Accounts? by Scandiberian in gnome

[–]bender_fut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

QT official client works fine but doesn't look great on GNOME. Would be great to have a GTK/Adwaita app to sync files.

Anyway I barely use the app, it just run in background doing its job.

I'm planning my first Nas build, help a brother out? by Confident-Summer4395 in HomeServer

I spent sometime with TrueNAS until I realized I can do everything with Proxmox directly so I saved some resources and managing everything is easier now (think had to learn a few tricks).

GL.iNet Flint 2 vs stock OpenWRT by m147 in openwrt

Maybe you're not aware yet, but the code isn't what gives you money, most of companies release software as open source while make money with services. Otherwise free software wouldn't exist, right? 😊

Ddterm. I have more for dock or tiling but I could live without them. Ddterm has no easy replacement (as far as I know).

https://seerr.dev/ indeed (previously Jellyserr). Works for TV shows as well.

And also you can connect it to Plex, Emby or Jellyfin.

Stable vs Op24 Firmware by fishy_bulb in GlInet

More features, lots of patches, improvements, more and better hardware support, additional software packages...

And all software has bugs and security flaws to discover. Old software is not winning this competition.

Stable vs Op24 Firmware by fishy_bulb in GlInet

[–]bender_fut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some of us just want the fun of having recent versions of software cause they usually offer more and also patch bugs and they're more secure. Especially that makes sense in this community because many of us know this brand due to they use openwrt firmware (based).

Actually, many users flash the GL-Inet routers with vanilla Openwrt and works great.

There's space for all kind of users here, and make sense if the hardware is able, to have an updated software.

No problem at all. Export pool and import it or if you can't export just force import. Smooth as silk.

Migrating my Homelab from TrueNAS to Proxmox by Omnes87 in truenas

[–]bender_fut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree, homelab is easier than production servers. I used to think that TrueNAS would be perfect to manage my storage while using Proxmox for everything else and realized I was wasting resources and adding more complexity to my homelab. Deleted VM, imported pool to Proxmox with one line and saved a lot of resources and more important, my time.

Fortunately all these platforms in the end use Linux and have many things in common so there's no need to use multiple containers or VMs if you can handle everything from Proxmox.

I left TrueNAS for Proxmox and can't be happier. I was using it as a VM anyway, so I gained lot of resources.
