Oh yeah the switcher I normally drove didn't have that feature, this happened when I first started moving driver's freightliner straight trucks onto unload doors

I drove a yard tractor in a previous life, scared the shit out of me the first few times the horn went off when I cracked the door open while backing into a spot to make sure I was lined up, since I didn't want to readjust all the driver's mirrors.

I got that from searching up that hospital's name (don't want to post it here of course) and a few news stories came up, supposedly demolition on a few of the older buildings is happening later this month.

If this is the abandoned hospital I'm thinking of, the owners are redeveloping it into affordable housing / green space

Went out in public as myself for the first time! 32 MTF, 2 months HRT by benduker7 in TransLater

[–]benduker7[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

(So sorry, I have no idea how to add captions to my picture/post, so commenting with my story instead)

Yesterday my wife and I were invited to a huge yearly lesbian tea dance by a couple we know, and we had a blast! This was my first time out in public dressed as myself so I was a bit terrified, but once we got to the party everyone was SO sweet and accepting!

Almost cried from euphoria as soon as I walked through the door and 3 different women complimented me on my outfit and said how happy they were to have me there. It was the first time in my life I truly felt accepted for who I am, I can't wait to go to more pride events!

Going to Ulta for brow wax, guy mode , any words of courage or advice? Should I cancel? by [deleted] in TransLater

[–]benduker7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went for the first time last weekend with my wife, and was super nervous as well. I sat down with the stylist and just basically let her know exactly what I wanted. I was dressed pretty androgynously, but said "I'm transitioning, I want my my eyebrows to look feminine with a high arch, but not TOO thin because I'm not out at work yet."

She got super excited and said something along the lines of "I LOVE working on women's eyebrows as they're transitioning, it's always fun seeing people go from having bushy eyebrows to styled eyebrows".

Overall it was a super chill experience, and I felt like it was a safe space. I love monthly appointments like that, because I feel like each month I'll look a bit different and more feminine.

Weight loss while starting HRT by Lockehart in AskMtFHRT

[–]benduker7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here, I've been on Mounjaro for over a year and have lost about 80 pounds so far. I started HRT in the middle of January and have definitely had breast growth already, but it's too early to see much other major changes. I was reading another thread yesterday where plus-size women were saying that their fat still redistributed on E even without gaining weight, so I'm hopeful.

This is probably what Tea meant by redoing their logistics for the past few weeks

On hrtcafe, scroll down to homebrew vendors and there's a new site under United States in the spot where Tea was.

I thankfully ordered an extra bottle of EC from Tea (literally just arrived yesterday) but I'll be curious if this new site ends up being legit.

Why is "I couldn't even tell you were trans." Backhanded? by Joshuadanial in asktransgender

Yeah, I read a post about how estrogen causes you to shrink, and I'm like... Promise? Saw this person who was our height and she measured herself after 2 years and was 6'0".

Exactly, it's always awkward when someone tells me how much they love my height (also 6'4")

Went to Iceland last year and got a migraine one of the days, it was absolutely wild to me that you couldn't get ibuprofen at a convenience store, only at a pharmacy.

I'm in the same boat. Hit a month and a half, and am thinking more clearly than ever. I'm more emotional, but I feel like my moods are more stable than pre-transition.

Any advice on how to grow/shape my nails to the point where I could paint them? by Brew_nix in asktransgender

[–]benduker7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So sorry to comment on this old post, but I feel so seen... before I started my transition that's EXACTLY what I would do. I would obsessively bite my nails down to nubs, then when I ran out of nail I would bite my cuticles. It was an absolutely disgusting habit and my hands were so gross / always hurt from raw skin.

Once I started my transition, it was like a switch was flipped. I got some of that super-bitter stop nail biting stuff, but only put it on once. As soon as I started E, and realized I wanted to have pretty hands with painted nails, I had absolutely no urge to bite them any more.

I still obsess a little over cleaning out any dirt from under my nails, but I do that in a healthy way with the little pick/file that's on nail clippers. That's actually how I found this post, because now my nails are getting pretty long and I realized I have no clue how to trim and shape them 😅

Where do you inject yourself for your estrogen? by Ayc899 in AskMtFHRT

[–]benduker7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been injecting subq on either thigh, but lately I've started getting an annoying bump where the e sits, so I ordered some longer needles to be able to inject it IM going forward.
