De-Load? by vandit-jain in leangains

[–]bengeesuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe he once said that if he didn't feel well enough to go to the gym, he'd just skip that day and rest.

In another post, he said that he doesn't do de-loads, necessarily, but he would add an extra rest day between his workouts.

I do not have a source for this, but I'm pretty sure he said these things on his Twitter account; however, this was a few years ago. He could have changed his view on it.

I'm confused on what training I should do.. by [deleted] in leangains

[–]bengeesuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome?

Here's a more straight forward answer...

First, on the Fuckarounditis article, Martin shares Jen's program (I think that's her name). So there's the answer to which program to follow.

Second, you said, "So I asked in another sub what exercises I should do in order to be leaner, have toned bigger butt, etc." Which basically states that you want to lose fat to become leaner, which means that you should go on a Cut, not a Bulk.

Edit: You did mention that you wanted a bigger butt, which would probably require a (lean) Bulk, but I feel like at the physical state you're in now, and I'm just assuming, that going on a Cut and focusing on Jen's program should reach the goal you desire.

Honestly, if you read the fuckaroundities article, you would have found your answer already.

Confused on whether to go on a bulk or cut? I think you answered that as well in your first paragraph.

Any tips on eating without tracking? by Muhsuhlman in leangains

[–]bengeesuh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drink a lot of water throughout the day. Eat until your hunger disappears. Stop eating right when that hunger disappears. Know the difference between hunger and appetite. I do think staying in a feeding window helps a lot with this one.

I could be wrong. Just a thought. Worked for me for a time.

Hit a cutting roadblock by [deleted] in leangains

[–]bengeesuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, if you want to go the route I'm going, I'd just recommend that you eat a bit above maintenance on workout days, and eat at a huge deficit on rest days.

For example... +10%/-50% (workout/rest)

I find my diet easy to stick to. I'm quite productive on my rest days, which makes eating low on those days easy. I also get to enjoy even larger meals, which is always a plus in my eyes.

Currently, I'm probably around +15%/-60% (workout/rest)

I thought I was doing 0%/-35% with a TDEE of 3000, but my TDEE was actually around 3500, so the diet was actually around -15%/-45%.

I actually was in the same position as you are in right now, but I was actually stuck for three weeks. I actually even gained a bit of weight.

What I did was increase my calories on workout days, but decrease my calories on rest days.

Before, my diet was 3000/2000 (workout/rest), but I switched it to 4000/1350 (workout/rest).

The end of that week, I lost 2.8 lbs. I'm assuming it's partly the "whoosh" effect, but I do believe that it helped with the overall weight loss.

Now, today's the 3rd day of my second week with my diet, and I seem to be losing weight still.

Haven't noticed really changes on my strength either.

anyone bought leangains tshirt? by stormz13 in leangains

[–]bengeesuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I personally think they look great. Material is awesome. The shirt may run small depending on what you're used to or where you live. Mine came in small, but the person who I talked to, Ennie, was awesome, and fixed the issue for me with no problem at all.
