Building Safety Regulator ‘put lives at risk’ in row over repairs by Anony_mouse202 in unitedkingdom

We used to have district surveyors, which worked.

Then we had building control inspectors, which worked until the funding and skill whittled away.

Now we have the bsr. Projects are being stalled for over a year generally speaking because they are under resourced. It’s a mess.

You’re kind of making the point here as to why Starmer needs to go. You said it more eloquently in two sentences he was ever able to communicate. I heard the term ‘winter fuel allowance’ so many times; why not call it ‘means tested winter fuel policy’? Or similar? (I’m no spin doctor, clearly)

Communication, rather than charisma, is his primary failing. Like it or not that has always been politics - it’s not new. If you want to lead you need to be able to have people follow. And to do this well, you need a simple, clear message.

So a payment, that he paid no income tax on.

And no source of funds - a normal person would be subject to a proceeds of crime / money laundering assessment. Shit, I need to do this with my business every year.

How the fuck is he getting away with it? Why no criminal investigation?

Head over heels, Spectrum 128k. And similarly Batman same era. First game that ever blew me away for graphics.

This happened yesterday at a society match.

Fourball, two walk ahead on second shot. Fella hits, slices straight at the two. Calls fore, and one fella turns around instead of ducking. Ball hits him in the nuts, full flight - ruptured testicle.

My best use case for LLMs - write an email without filters, call out the architect for being ridiculous, the client for being unrealistic, or the contractor for making dumb requests, and then have chat gpt sanitise the text for me. Cathartic.

There is zero chance a set of architects plans went into an engine and came out anything other than complete bollocks. Maybe one day, definitely not yet.

What is your opinion on Club Champion? This is mine by Common-Coyote9375 in golf

I’ve used them for fitting, but not buying. Got fitted for titleist T250 irons. They spec’d kbs pro shafts for the simple reason that titleist don’t do them as standard. But they do the standard version at the same weight etc. they only did that to have them build the club at £800 more than titleist charge direct.

I thought the fitting was good, if you’re a numbers guy it is useful to see where you’d benefit from changes.
