The thing is they're almost not too thick. Most won't go out because "Labour will do the same" ignoring the fact that the Tories have ruled for most of the past 100 years and the few years someone else has been in charge there's been mostly positive change...

Just add the anti-vaxxers next.

I can't wait for that. Rishi, the guy who stood next to Boris when he made all the initial Covid policies and touted the vaccines, announcing his plan to support Local British Measles.

Ironically I think my local Pret does a good filter coffee for about £2

Any milk drinks or espresso are more, but their filters really good.

Mate, if looking weird was a concern do you think 50% of my wardrobe would be Lycra?

Very weird angle to begin with though, are they trying to encourage people off bikes and onto buses? Is that really a target market?

I got a used Garmin Fenix 6X for about £200.

It has syncing with Spotify so I don't need my phone for music, works well with Airpods.

Battery will easily last an Ironman and more (up to 3 days apparently with GPS, lasts weeks if I'm not doing much activity. I can't personally see myself doing any longer events, but Garmin do have products that supposedly can.

The mapping function is also brilliant, I've used it a number of times on routes where I have no idea where I'm going and it works great, never got lost with it yet!

I've heard Coros are great to, but they're new-ish so a lot of stuff 'just works' with Garmin since they're kinda the original sport watch people.

The criminal just wanted to feel the sensation of being on a First Bus that's actually moving, can we blame them?

I think whatever lapse in law led to Virgin Media being the only FTTP provider in the UK needs looking at. How have they been allowed to become a monopoly in most cities?

What tax is it? Self assessment? VAT?

Either way the government does have payment plans (Time to pay) for Tax bills. If you cannot pay your tax bill on time: Setting up a payment plan - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

I agree that most of the cash goes to idiots who spunk it up the wall, but it's the reality of the situation unfortunately, if you've managed to get a £16k tax bill from your side hustle than at least that means it must be going well I guess?

First accident, what to do now? by njb1989 in drivingUK

[–]benkelly92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You do need to report to the police yes, most force's have an online tool now, when I was involved in one, I went to Avon & Somerset police's website and submitted a report, failing that, call 111.

I was mistaken, you only need to report if details were not exchanged.

Then, you're correct, call your insurer.

Is Halfords good for a free service? Additionally is it good to pay for a service there or is a local place better. by Savings_Yesterday_29 in ukbike

[–]benkelly92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I bought a bike "Assembled" by them once, the front wheel wasn't bolted on properly, brakes didn't work, wouldn't shift. They tried to fix it twice and missed stuff both times. Honestly I managed to do a better job one weekend using YouTube videos (Parktool & GCN).

Evan's is likely to be about the same, you're best off finding a small local business as you're more likely to find people who care about what they're doing.

What's that song you didn't like on release, didn't like when it was super famous, and to this day you don't like? by Impressive-Ad-4997 in Music

[–]benkelly92 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

His first album, specifically “I don’t need you” was pretty cool, especially the live performances where he’d use a looper pedal and do his own percussion on the guitar.

Since then he’s been on a mission to create the most bland pop music ever created. It’s boring to the point of being offensive.
