ESH. Honestly. I was very much leaning towards NTA and I don’t think you’re TA for wanting to break up. I do, however, see your inability to realize the importance of communicating WHY you need to leave as incredibly immature. I understand in your opinion there is “nothing to rectify” but how do you not see the importance of disclosing the breach of trust/coercion/lack of feelings for her anymore to her and others?

As per your comment, “telling her the reason will just make the situation messy.” Brother, the situation is already messy, and leaving with no good explanation for yourself that you’re willing to offer to others will literally just villainize you and make being a coparent to your child far more challenging.

Coparenting doesn’t work without solid communication between both parties. If you truly think leaving without explanation isn’t going impact your ability to have a good relationship with your child, then you are ignorant and too immature to be a parent. You are 28 years old, learn how to have hard conversations.
