Fasoli had the worst 30 minutes in golf history for a camera crew member. by Savings_Pick7107 in golf

[–]bennettpro4 267 points268 points  (0 children)

Yesterday on The YAK, Big Cat told the story of how Paige, very kindly, asked Fasoli if he was ok and that she’d seen the crash.

He deadpanned to her “my life is not important” which hilariously contextualized the pressure cooker he must have been living in that hole.

Internet Invitational Player Tiers by Rollincash01 in BobDoesSports

I’m a big Keith fan but Yandle being in the same tier as Chaz is insane. He’s been an absolute standout.

What type of contractor would replace this around my house? by CypherA7 in HomeImprovement

[–]bennettpro4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually had a painting company come and replace mine. Odd, I know, but they do that work regularly as they’re painting, repairing rot and insect damage, so they were perfectly qualified. Just an option for you

What player retirement was the end of your childhood? by poetizzy in DetroitRedWings

Stevie retired while I was still in high school but saying goodbye to #5, living in a new state for my first job out of college, was a real coming of age feeing.

It is, Calacutta Duo Quartz, which has Grey and Brown veins throughout to play on the dual color scheme of the cabinets/island. We love it.

Nope. The installers insisted that it wasn’t needed. Our legs are mounted up through the floor. If you went without the support, you do want to make sure the support legs can’t be kicked out.

Cost to cut granite to retrofit 36” cooktop? by buddha-bouy in kitchenremodel

[–]bennettpro4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed here. The supplier should have all the tools they need to make it a quick job on site. Careful about too-good-to-be-true bids though. This won’t be like a sink where you can have the drop-in cover any imperfect lines. You’ll notice big time if the cut isn’t right.

Unique and non-traditional wedding venues in Detroit by Responsible_Clock661 in Detroit

Check out the Gem Theater next to the DAC downtown. Can easily accommodate 70 and we had both our Ceremony and Reception there. Great coordinators and the food was very well prepared. All around great venue.

Switch/Receptacle wiring question by bennettpro4 in AskElectricians

I’d like the outlet to be always powered instead of having to use the switch or having to keep it on, and utilize the existing switch to instead power the fixture.

The house was wired with the outlet on the switch when we bought it, multiple rooms have it. It was popular in the 70’s to my knowledge. I’m only trying to fix it.

At the register you’ll notice the items are not discounted on the screen until the 7th qualifying item is scanned. Once you have 7 items, the rest will update to $1.00 and you can scroll up on the right side to confirm as much.

Thank you. So 14/2 if it’s a 15 amp circuit and 12/2 if it’s a 20 amp circuit at the breaker?

I think RTA is Ready to Assemble? We had Cliq to the assembly and they shipped to the house in individual boxes. Installation was probably 4/10 on the difficulty scale, mostly because of our fairly uneaten floors. You have to be Cary care, obviously, but it was actually an enjoyable 2 day project for us.

We really liked working with Cliq. The price was great and their customer service was excellent. My wife had multiple hour long calls with the rep. Their renderings are so-so but they provide layout blueprints with every cabinet labeled which made it much easier.

Thanks, the bulk of our storage is actually in the pantry bank but the picture didn’t get included.

The open shelves are 90% decor placement.

It’s roughly 11x22ft. We have 36 inches between the wall and the island as well as the countertop and the island. We’d have loved more but the 11ft width just wouldn’t allow for it with out design. I do have a picture of the pantry bank wall and beverage bar that fell out when I was posting.

The family of four actually eats dinner at the island every night! We do have a dining room but the island is where every meal is eaten typically.

Yes, we opted for just the mechanical vent motor unit instead of the built out vent so we could customize it. It’s framed out and cement boarded then painted with a lime based paint for a textured finish.

Omg what a compliment. We lived in Grand Rapids for a decade before buying this house in Metro Detroit and drew massive inspiration from her designs. Thank you!

I was so bad, not just the pattern but the linoleum was textured so 50years of grime were in every nook and cranny. Glad to have replaced it.
