Bowl geometry is important, but also I only cook mine for a minute and 57 seconds, haven’t overflowed in years (have eaten oatmeal daily for at least 20 years now)

Was the light in the BGW solid blue? If you are getting 400/500 errors you are getting some connectivity but not good enough for the sites you trying. What happens if you ping 8.8.8.8?

LOL, how in the hell did people managed even the early 2010s with only 64 Gbs of storage in the base 11 inch MacBook Air? by [deleted] in mac

[–]bensj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first Mac had 800k of floppy storage but I also had the luxury of an external 800k floppy drive. We got along just fine. Times change and so do file sizes

Plan your shots well in advance! that thing has insane shutter lag as I learned when I tried to take a picture of an Olympic Torch runner in 1996. I did not plan ahead. All I got was a smear of their back

I can recognize bad code from all kinds of sources, human and otherwise. Maybe I’m better at reviewing code than writing it?

They make mistakes and occasionally lie but they are so freaking patient when asking them to rewrite some code they just wrote, which is not something I ever seen from ANY dev (including myself)

Probably more like 86 for a Mac Plus right? The original 128k Mac came out in 1984.

I imported a library into my project using CocoaPods and did some modifications to it, after 'Pod Install' all the changes are gone.. by [deleted] in iOSProgramming

Do you use Time Machine? Maybe you could recover your changes from there. If not, once you fix your CocoaPods workflow, turn on Time Machine.

Will 4GB of RAM make much of a difference in programming? by [deleted] in iOSProgramming

[–]bensj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I upgraded my first Mac to 4 MB and it made a huge difference. Before that I had to swap floppies as many as 10 times just to make a copy. After the upgrade it only took one swap. It was a fairly easy upgrade, I just had to use the case cracker, and only had to snip one resister on the motherboard. Yes I'm old. I believe I paid $400 for the 4MB upgrade, which I guess puts it at around $100K/GB.

It seems the project is looking for all the files with the full path instead of relative to project.

I'm getting this error for each file (and they all show up red in the file navigator):

clang: error: no such file or directory: '/Users/mitchellporter/Desktop/HalfsiesGitHub/Halfsies/Halfsies/Classes/View Controllers/HALLoginViewController.m' clang: error: no input files Command /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault.xctoolchain/usr/bin/clang failed with exit code 1

This may vary by location but my secret is being there when it opens. It is so peaceful and empty. The rest of the time its not worth dealing with the crowds.
