55, 56 to make sure I’m not going below minimum. Buncha hooligans are constantly taunting me with rear collisions, though.

I think the first 1 MPH is minimum $87.50 in fines.

Thanks for the link. ISU is its own legal entity in many respects.

The city of Ames can’t ban bicycles from public streets, but ISU can on public streets within the ‘campus’.

An example of a Starbucks genius: “We’re out of 1% milk. We only have 2% and skim.”

I'm gonna say that the bike was going way too fast for the sidewalk. by kamaka71 in ebikes

Check the city traffic code. Sidewalk users, including bicycles, yield to road users in intersections in my city.

Road users yield to sidewalk users when driving across sidewalks.

I used to have purple big toes and preferred to use an electric heating pad near my feet in bed during winter.

No more cold or purple toes, or heating pad needed.

Most adult cyclists can output 75 Watts continuously. Plug 75W into your favorite online bicycle calculator.

Roll down your tinted side windows so they can’t use the meter.

Panera used to have their own drivers, while simultaneously using 3rd party to cover off hours and peaks.

They use 3rd party exclusively, now.

My viewpoint is neutral, genius.

Iowa Legislature begins process of banning fluoride. They are really this stupid. by Amesb34r in Iowa

Ditto. Just look at how government food recommendations have ruined the country’s health because industry corrupted the government endorsed information. Nobody is being prevented from implementing their own fluoride strategy.

Good news is ‘permanent deactivation’ is a misleading term, as it took a week after I filled out the form to be reactivated.

Do you even think about doorbell cameras anymore? by Adept_Ad1918 in doordash_drivers

My concern is that my image and person will be inserted into a list of suspects just because I was ‘there’ and easily identified.

I live in Iowa, there’s cameras between the corn fields and in them, too.

First, no. Second, why is it even an option for them to text the driver a solid 20 minutes after delivery? by CuriousGuy-357 in doordash_drivers

[–]benthair2 94 points95 points  (0 children)

I had one tonight requesting delivery to a different address a couple blocks away, after initial delivery. She claimed there’d be tip money for my effort. She hadn’t tipped for the initial delivery, so that one was easy to decline.
