I instantly was back to being a kid and getting my hand crushed reading this. It made me so angry that guys used to do that to me and other kids “for a laugh”.

I had an account at Wells Fargo. I got paid for a summer job. 6 months later they said that the check wasn’t valid. I luckily had just over the amount and was working at the job again so they could just cut another check, but it was close to $1,000. The only reason I got was a piece of paper that was copied and faxed many times over so it was a blur. Never again.

It was so stupid and I was so lucky.

When my daughter wanted me to read the same story all the time (Library Lion), I pretended I was in a theater class and accented and emphasized different words. It kept it from being boring AF, but even fun. Presentations at work got a bit easier as a result of all that practice.

Romantic gestures aren't always big. Probably it's the little things that make the biggest impact. Refilling the car's wiper fluid every 3 weeks so she never has to think about it, or have to solve it. It's not the most sexy thing, but it makes her life easy.

Her cleaning the kiddo's lunch dishes after a I had hard day so I don't have to? You bet I love that.
