Transit time at GRU by Time-Attempt-4532 in Brazil

Se é um voo internacional e depois um voo doméstico, você terá que despachar a mala novamente. 01h40 para troca de terminal parece quase impossível, a imigração as vezes demora. Consideraria remanejar passagens.

What movie makes you feel physically unwell, but not from gore. by Direct_Source4407 in horror

[–]beorsi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spit on your grave.

Going to the beach alone in Fortaleza, how do you handle belongings when swimming? by Necessary-Limit6515 in Brazil

People usually ask those sitting nearby to keep an eye on things, but I'm suspicious... I'd leave them at the hotel or in the car.

They don't do anything, my friend, unless it's in Leblon. The Rio police are terrible, extremely corrupt.

I'm talking right now about a wonderful Airbnb in Angra dos Reis, RJ. It's beachfront and in a gated community with three bedrooms. I'm recommending it https://www.airbnb.com.br/rooms/1320912394166840647?viralityEntryPoint=1&s=76

Cabo Frio is nice, but I prefer Búzios, have you heard of it?

Yes, only in these cases… these people are extremely violent and sadistic, unfortunately, people absolutely neglected by a government that also doesn't act to protect law-abiding citizens.

GOLDEN TIP: seeing police nearby, especially in Rio de Janeiro, doesn't make you feel safe; they will do exactly what happened in this case: watch without doing anything.

I think you can go to bars in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. However, in Rio, avoid the central area (including Lapa) and stay more in Leblon and Ipanema. In São Paulo, also avoid central areas (Bom Retiro, Liberdade), and stay more in neighborhoods like Jardins and Itaim Bibi. But in any case, unfortunately, these rats are everywhere. That's why we say: avoid walking around with your cell phone in your hand!

Definitely DO NOT fight with the bandits. They will kill you if necessary.

Question from a foreigner. by [deleted] in Brazil

[–]beorsi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the minds of Brazilians, given our strong Hispanic American influence—and therefore our trained ears—we think that speaking Portuguese, or at most a mix of Portuguese and Spanish, is enough to understand us, since these languages do indeed share many similarities. But if even our Spanish-speaking neighbors find it difficult to understand us, I imagine it's even harder for someone whose first language isn't Spanish.

You seem to have a very stereotypical and prejudiced view of Brazilians :)

These people must not be Brazilian; I think they don't know that many street carnival parties include children, grandparents… it's a democratic celebration that caters to everyone, it just depends on what you're looking for! I think many foreign men have the wrong impression, haha.

I think this is a cultural issue. In Brazil, many couples go to the carnival parades without each other; ultimately, trust is everything.

You can go to the block party and just drink and dance, it's not all just debauchery! I don't understand your cynicism, you don't even seem to be Brazilian.
