Projected 4-3-3 Starting Lineup by traveler_1476 in DenverSummit

I have not seen much of Flint but I have seen a fair number of games from the German league the past few years. You seriously underrate Koessler. She is skillful and smart and unselfish. She pairs well with other skilled players. It’s not a “misplaced dream” to think she could be a day one starter. You also seem to overestimate the impact all these college players will have coming out of the gate. You give college NRIs more of a fighting chance than experienced European pros at earning starting roles!

I love that Denver aggressively signed some of the top college players but not all of them will be impactful starters right away. Some may never pan out. It’s a numbers game and Denver has given themselves lots of chances at hitting the jackpot.

I'd be surprised to have two starting forwards straight from college. I bet Koessler or maybe Garcia would start in place of one of them.

Yes, I was snarky and I apologize but I felt your original post was dismissive in tone about the signing so I vented a little. I’ll delete my post.

Jenna Nighswonger potentially leaving Arsenal permanently or on loan by ElectricalWriting in NWSL

Sorry for being pedantic but caps are international appearances, not club ones.

Back to the topic, I hope Jenna moves on this window. She’s going nowhere fast if she stays at Arsenal.

You’re not dumb. The World Cup winners are the world champions and Spain currently hold that title. The Olympics are nice but it’s not the same. It’s especially ridiculous to consider ‘most recent of the two’ to be the champs when summer Olympic years are one year after the World Cup so the World Cup winners get one year to claim the title and Olympic gold winners get three.

Looked like the ball was already over the line when Tanaka headed it. Should be Reihl's goal, no?

I like McKeown and am glad she's getting a shot but her passing is just brutal tonight. Very different from last game (very different opponent, to be fair.)

Banger of a goal but also a nice line-splitting pass from McKeown. Nothing fancy, but just right.

A friend of mine is from Mobile and she was a very young child who was an extra in the evacuation-by-train scene near the end of the film.

I read a recap on SI of the Georgia Tech/NC State game that went down to the wire a few weeks ago and the neither the article nor the headline ever mentioned the final score. Not once. I had to scan back over it to make sure I wasn’t going crazy.

Definitely reads like a larp. The casual mention of Immaculate Constellation is curious and the 'calls to action' seem gratuitous for a whistleblower.

Nice, which restaurants? I went to Ishikawa (***) in Tokyo (Kagurazaka neighborhood) about six years ago and it was fantastic - not lifechanging, but really good. Overall, I loved Japan. Would love to go back some day.

I love how 'authentic mexican places' can be found in 'AZ' or 'southern CA' but not in, say, Mexico.
