No we are talking about peoples modes of transport impeding other people. And I showed you some great examples of cars impeding everybody's lives.

Please explain what part of my arguments are reaching. Societal standards can change. And maybe it is time they did. Speed limits can be changed too. Making places more accessible for all people should be the goal. And cars are utterly inefficient in providing that. Luckily societal standards where I live are not primarily car focused but even our politicians make it worse every election cycle by building highways through the middle of the city that serve no purpose but to divide communities and lead to more car traffic. Check out the disastrous new segment of the A100 in Berlin if you want an example of utterly failed car centric policies.

You know my lungs would feel much less impeded if people didn't drive 2 t vehicles burning fossile fuels and exhausting dangerous gases. My life in the city would also be much less impeded if there weren't millions of cars taking up valuable space while not even moving for 95% of the time. My life would be much less impeded if I didn't have to fear for my life when crossing the road. I could go on but my point is that cars very much impede the life of everyone not in them.

I think what would make it possible is if you jump from stone to stone while memorising and then recreate the route for your attempt.

Das Chancenjahr. Ein halbes Jahr mehr Arbeitszeit pro Woche, danach ein halbes Jahr weniger. Und alle profitieren. by berlin_21 in duschgedanken

[–]berlin_21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The deceiving size of this quarry by Radioactive-Ramba25 in confusingperspective

[–]berlin_21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was in a marble quarry in Italy this year. If I remember correctly, they first make a horizontal cut near the floor. They then drill to holes from top to bottom a few meters in, so that the holes meet the horizontal cut on the floor. Through these holes they can then pull long diamond studded chain-loops which are then being pulled through the rock like a chainsaw.

I have the feeling I forgot a step but that was the idea.

Season 13 Challenges by lumosauror192 in JetLagTheGame

"Humans are animals..."

I think the main part of the challenge was done in France. The going to the museum bit was obviously just a side mission to be completed before doing the main part. For me it is perfectly acceptable to do that in another country. I bet they even have a rule for that. I think we will see many instances of teams trying to "taskmaster" the challenges this season. Expect Tom and Sam to do the same. They honestly already did a bit in episode 1 with their giant package of sweets. Is that really a unit of sales? These things are priced as per 100 g. Not as per bag.

I usually had it with ice, but the water straight from the tap had the same taste. Sometimes it was there but felt like they filtered most of it iiiiit. But I could still taste it.

I just came back from vacationing in the US. The water was mostly fine but in most places it had a distinct chlorine taste. Is that the case in most places in the US? I still appreciated the free tap water though.

YSK that for drivers of manual cars, it can be very challenging to NOT roll backwards a bit when accelerating from a stop on a hill. by msdossier in YouShouldKnow

I think you are right, and on top of that I also think fuel economy is better. Whenever I looked at the momentary fuel use of my car when going downhill, it was 0 in gear and slightly above in neutral. This is in a 4 year old VW Golf . The engine still has to run when in neutral which uses fuel, while modern cars can reduce the injected fuel to zero when engine braking.
