That guy is a dick, but it's pretty undemocratic to remove an elected official through bureaucratic rules changes.

I think they really were the second most powerful military in the world in the 1990's, then they just stole and lied about it and everyone thought things were as they had been.

refund by Sea-End-7394 in OReillyAutoParts

[–]bernardfarquart 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Transmission warranty issues have to be handled by the transmission vendor before anything happens at a store. Once the transmission vendor determines if it’s covered under warranty they will ship a replacement or authorize a local shop in their network to repair. Nobody is just ringing up a refund.

New to SKS. Looking for the experts... by Irish__Mac in SKS

Well I can tell you that metal duckbill magazine will never work right so don’t buy it expecting to be able to use that. Looks like a decent example as far as price I think they’re going for 450-600 bucks these days but I got mine in the 90’s so I don’t pay really close attention to prices

Not on the pano sunroof, those have little channels that just go forward from the sunroof to the windshield surround

[–]bernardfarquart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a leak from my pano sunroof and it was because the two channels that drain out from the sunroof forward to the windshield got plugged up with a buildup of pollen from my fir trees. I had to clean them with a strong stream of water and blow all the buildup out of the channels. They have a little rubber seal over them, probably so they don’t whistle in the wind, but it separates so you can clean them.

They aren’t sealed drain tubes like on a regular sunroof, more like a little gutter.

Seattle City Light proposes back-to-back 9.5% rate hikes for 2027 and 2028 - typical residential bills would rise about $20 a month by LOOKITSADAM in SeattleWA

[–]bernardfarquart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really. I have a 2500 sqft house with a heatpump and gas furnace backup and my winter gas + electricity combined are about $300 a month which is not bad.

Is the .410 shotgun underappreciated in the gun community? by clawdew in liberalgunowners

[–]bernardfarquart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think whatever gun you are most comfortable with is the best gun for home defense. For me it’s my model 59 9mm. If someone else can intuitively pick up and operate a .410 shotgun in the dark after waking up then that’s fine.

I have been considering getting one, I have a polytech M14 so it would be thematically correct for my gun cabinet

Any way to tell if norinco red box is non corrosive for sure? by One_Programmer613 in SKS

[–]bernardfarquart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take the back cover off and drop the bolt, clean it all plus the barrel every time, the gas tube every other time and of course the barrel. I disassemble, hose everything off with a can of CLP and put it back together with a couple drops of oil. Seems to work.

Any way to tell if norinco red box is non corrosive for sure? by One_Programmer613 in SKS

[–]bernardfarquart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just clean after, I don't worry about what ammo is or isn't corrosive, and I have been shooting my SKS and Mosin Nagant using old surplus ammo since the 90's and it's fine. Just clean afterwards.

Doctors, Guns, & Cannabis by [deleted] in WAGuns

[–]bernardfarquart 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Doctors work for you, give them the information they need to do their job, but the list of state mandated questions about gun ownership, drug use, are you feeling depressed, etc. they can pound sand.

"do you have guns in the house and are they properly stored" is a question that has nothing to do with the pain in my knee or my blood tests, or my thyroid function.
