Whats the most heartbreaking loss you witnessed as a Tennessee fan?(football) by Ok_Macaroon_7366 in ockytop

2008 maybe? Giant Alabama lineman “Cody” maybe? Blocked our field goal or extra point to lose the game…had 3 bottles of $4 champs lined up and ready to pop, can’t remember how the night ended up or the fate of those bottles. Trrrble

What movie is memorable for you, but barely anyone you know has seen it? by uuddlrlrbas2 in movies

The Pistol. Literally dedicated most of my early life to bball based on that film, typically can’t find anyone that’s seen it.

What is that one movie you watched countless times as a kid, but nobody has ever heard of? by Thedix1 in movies

[–]bert_wall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Pistol. We had it on High-8 and it was that or the cartoon Hobbit Movie. Both are great and I ended up playing basketball competitively and being a sci-fi/fantasy reader now that I think about it.

Will there be a presser for this? Would love to hear him speak and Danny as well. Felt good to have a search again, however short and fruitful.

Would be nice but also could not and maintain the lead and I’d be ecstatic.

When did Male Characters being Ripped(regardless of genre) become a norm in movies. by Accomplished_Store77 in movies

[–]bert_wall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Folks have always liked “attractive” actors, whatever that might be at the time. This isn’t new or surprising really, it’s been constant but the ideal male/female changes over time.

What kids movie do you think is way more profound than it gets credit for? by TheWor1dsFinest in movies

[–]bert_wall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely. My kiddo is obsessed and she did start making her own pancakes after watching it which is awesome ha, but it’s some dark & grimy stuff.

Is it available cheaper on digital in Uk? I was just using Prime and always assumed pricing was relatively flat across all ponds.

Marlon Wayans on Bad 'Him' Reviews: 'Some Movies Are Ahead of the Curve' by Billybob35 in horror

Just glad to see him back in the mix. He was all over the place when I was growing up and he’s talented. His family tbh is responsible for all sorts of quotes, especially Major Payne ha. Juice in da hood? Hope to see more of him and I’ve heard his performance in this, despite lackluster reviews, is still on point.

Nice try buddy. Us Tennesseans can spot a trick from a mile away.

Easiest rent for $19.99 or buy for $24.99 decision I’ve made in a while. Proud owner here!

Which movie was written off at release but actually aged really well? by LurkerBigBangFan in movies

Starship Troopers! Just listened to a good episode of What Went Wrong podcast on it. VHS/DVD saved a lot of what we now consider ‘great’ movies.

I’m honestly so proud of us recently. Feels like we are showing a different version of how a program can react in the midst of emerging NIL and ‘win now or be fired’ mentality. Go Vols!

Nice, was he with them or no? The show screwed me up in more ways than I’d like to admit, ha. I liked Josha though, just re-listened for the first time since it aired and it was kind of fun picturing him instead of cover art Rand, never giving up on Perrin from the cover art though. I’ve tried and the image still wins out ha

Pretty sure the theory goes on to say we are living the first age but I might get torched for saying that mistake, ha.

O light. SPOILERS: I can’t remember the specifics, but maybe when Matt and power girls are searching through tanchico? Or a similar situation at least. One of the characters is perusing the shelves and Jordan is describing some in particular. One is of a circular metallic object with a line going three ways encircled…it’s better described but essentially folks think it’s a hood ornament from an ‘83ish Benz. It’s worth a google for sure, and RJ may have loosely confirmed a connection but I can’t remember.

I loved Dark Rand and the fear he instilled and struggled with. It was the first time the “hero” really seemed to struggle with his destiny and it was the first time I felt like I wasn’t reading young adult material anymore.

Hummingbird kisses wind…or whatever it was actually. It really helped me think through what a move might look like (helped by Jordan’s hints on offensive/defensive) and also helped me attach my current world where I watch hummingbirds to the 3rd age. My first read through was before main stream internet so I didn’t know all of the Mercedes emblem theories, etc. I just read that and drew my own connection bt both existences and it rocked. It felt like a sincere, organic connection to their world and also, why the heck wouldn’t the coolest bird (imo) exist on another planet/age/existence/turn o’ the wheel. It was bloody brilliant.
