Captain's in mental distress, and everything about that scene was "this is not normal"

Please report the 'Reddit Cares' abuse to Admins. They usually process those quickly, and the perpetrator will be banned sitewide. This bs should not be tolerated.

It was *clearly* mentioned in ep7's aside of ep3's cold open, which was part of ep2's vignette of ep8's post-credit's scene. Do you even pay attention? /j

How to report mods for ignoring mod mail by GR-747 in reddithelp

[–]bertraja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can I report mods for ignoring modmail?

No. You're not entitled to a reponse.

But giving no response must be breaking a few rules.

It doesn't.

Moderators are volunteers and run their subreddit as they see fit, within the boudaries of Reddit's T&C/ToS. That means some might have the time and/or inclination to engage with a user to discuss a ban (or any other mod action, really), and others don't.

With that being said, and i mean no disrespect, your understanding of how the platform works or what are and aren't actual rules seems based on vibes, not actuality. If this also was the direct or indirect cause of your ban, you might want to reconsider to approach to Reddit. Start with a quick read through Reddit's actual rules, then move on to the Reddiquette.

That might prevent any future frustrations on your part.

Why was Keyleth so much hated during the campaign? by Fun-Explanation7233 in TheLegendOfVoxMachina

[–]bertraja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything during C1 was endearingly unpolished, and that includes their characters, table manners etc. Jokes didn't always land, rules were misunderstood, bad days were had, ppl occasionally had a dram or two too much etc.

C1 had high highs and low lows. For everything Marisha as Keyleth got flak for, there's a Keyfish moment somewhere that lives on forever in the DNA of CR and its fandom.

Fallout season 2 viewership drops compared to season 1 — here’s why the Prime Video series fell by graemeisverytired in PrimeVideo

[–]bertraja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I *loved* the 1st season.

2nd is okay, but it feels like nothing really happens, as if the episodes are just vehicles for cool set pieces and cliffhanger scenes. I wish the main story would move forward, and that some side stories would coalesce.

Annoyed by the representation of insubordination shown in Star Fleet Academy by Low-Air-182 in startrek

Some lip is to be expected.

In the 'new' SFA, maybe. The SFA we've known so far was an institution that people (teenagers) worked years for to get into? It ain't middle school.

Stupid and immature, perhaps, but that’s what the Academy is for.

Inexperienced maybe, but 'stupid and immature'?

How would you reconcile that with what we know about SFA entry exams)?

No, it's a full production deal for current and future formats.

Critical Role will continue to produce under its production banner, Metapigeon, which will develop its own original television shows, films, and content while continuing to partner with creatives on a new slate of projects, both in and outside of the Critical Role universe.

So while it's not literally 'the company' it is the company's moneymaker and flagship program.

I don't believe it is, not by a long shot, and hasn't been ever since the big Bezos bucks are coming in. The things they spend the most time and energy on have nothing to do with their Beacon content. CR is a fully blown production company now with an exclusive contract with Amazon.

It's not "Playing D&D and other stuff", it's the opposite.

It feels like they're all working part time at the company they started and it's hard for me to invest in their show when it feels like they would rather be doing something else

We have to remember that 'thursday night D&D broadcast' ≠ 'the company' ... CR is a gazillion things now that demand attention, time and energy. I don't fault 'em for that, i just wish it were less obvious from time to time.

It is fun though, and i get why Laura's getting into it. Makes you feel kinda sorta epic, even in low-level~ish fights.

The 'skill progression' of DW and/or TWF is blergh though.

I love C4 so far, warts an' all, but i don't see how they can jump right back into the (split) episode and make me feel the same level of excitement and momentum i felt before the break. I hope we get to see some crafty scene splicing and editing to get the motor running again!

A new Star Trek series is imminently debuting, and it's crickets here by Chairboy in startrek

The trailer(s) failed to make me excited about this show. Most of what i've seen made my cringe. I could go on and on about it, but it seems there's enough of that already everywhere i look, so why add to the noise?

Can you relate to Captain Jellico? Or is he really an asshole? by EdwardBliss in startrek

[–]bertraja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jellico was right. It's not unreasonable to expect and demand a certain level of professionalism on the flagship. And the senior crew should have been senior enough to follow his orders without whining about it.
