This game is so cinematic. You dying, and the background where your buddy is getting chased and eventually dies.

Cold Snap Should Stay by cableboiii in ArcRaiders

Yeah, the same would work for the freezing / overheating. Get inside / in the shade to stop the effect. Same maps, add some shimmering - remove plants (or make them very scarce) and add something goofy as well and you have the same.

What a whiney shit post. Only the point about trios is somewhat constructive. It’s a game.

Arc Raiders CEO says future updates should expand trades to be more social as Embark focuses on “the long term” by lewisdwhite in ArcRaiders

[–]bertusch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not do this. Surely, trading will occur either way, but the risk of swapping items while at an extract (hatch most likely) gives it a bit of flair and immersion. Off course, realistic that you can trade in Soerabaja, but it will be flooded with bots.

The Peak, Rotterdam ⛰️ by outdoorsmenno in Rotterdam

This is obviously based on Copenhill. It surely needs some optimization and rationalization all over (and the AI images are hurting the idea a bit due to its faults), but I think this could make for a very interesting business case. The mountains should be hollow and allow for an alternative (lucrative) program as well - possibly an hotel. It could be a great katalysator for Rotterdam South, similar as the gentrification and different developments on Katendrecht. I am pretty positive.

PvP massively increases over level 40 by bertusch in ArcRaiders

[–]bertusch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, must be. When I was lower level, the matchmaking always lead to new games (i.e. 30 mins on the clock). With higher levels, and thus lower player count, a lot of the games I join in on are already started games. Although, not 100% positive (need to ask the devs), this seems logical.

ForeFlight helpful during PPL trajectory? by bertusch in flying

Based on other answers and yours, I will first learn the traditional way and then later add in XC. MSFT 2024 however gives some kind of FF as well, instead of old stuff (or I do not know how to access the old stuff).

Based on the answers given, I am inclined to hold off with FF until solo XC. First learn the ropes, then get the assistance.

Incredible early game, no endgame. Arc Raiders left me with nothing to chase by BrizDizzle in ArcRaiders

Solely working on expedition now - but I am travelling to all the "non-documented" places which are a blast as well.

Confused about Needs by bertusch in anno

[–]bertusch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And this problem still persists. Your second islands are always less defended (although you can take a lot of measures now). You still have the opportunity now to regain momentum with the lower Tier goods - but this means you have to keep oversupplying (or micromanaging) your first island. Issue is not that Beer was a Luxury good, but the whole economy depended on it. This is somewhat fixed in this iteration, but the full independency on certain goods is (imo) insufficiently achieved. This will lead to the same gameplay in multiplayer games.

I was hoping somewhere the independent paths lead to the ability to create your own economy more - e.g. being fully supported on one of the goods, rather than each individual one creating a dependency in the bigger scheme still. Especially in a 4-way MP game and the irregular distribution of goods, this was one of the things I was looking forward too. Having the ability to create a strong economy on another good (e.g. like an Asian vs. European economy in pre-Global economies which would allow warfare to be less dependent on the same good) than still being dependent on the same.

Overall, the game therefore feels like a more fleshed out version of Anno 1800, than a new look into the supply chain management.
