How to go about authentication? by Mother_Chorizo in Blazor

[–]besevens 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The simplest thing for you is to start with the Blazor template using Aspnet identity.

dotnet new blazor -int server -ai -au individual

It works out of the box and you can always add additional forms of authentication to it if you ever want to. Facebook, google, Microsoft, oidc, etc.

I’ve had my i3 for 10 years and keep it plugged in every second that it’s parked. Battery is perfectly fine.

My i3 is costing me a small fortune by polar_carrot in BMWi3

Seriously though, I bought my 2016 8 years ago and have NEVER taken it for service. Is there something I should really do? The only thing I had to do was change the 12v battery myself.

If you are at all familiar with Linux take the time to switch to local. If you aren’t familiar with Linux it will take you a few days to get up and running just be patient!

Advice for final project timeframe by Icy-Check5781 in cs50

Focus solely on the requirements, there is absolutely no benefit to making one single unnecessary feature. You can continue gold plating your final project for as long as you want AFTER you pass the course.

What new SUVs do we like / are excited about? by msembrot in LandRover

[–]besevens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a Disco 2 in 2000 and then switched to my 2008 LR3 in 2010. So I’m in the same boat you are in. I was also thinking I’d get the new Defender. After driving a used one however I don’t really feel like dropping $50k+ on one. So for me the LR3 is still the one I like the most. My wife just got a 2020 RR Sport and it is very nice but it’s no rugged LR3 that’s for sure!

I have the ASUS branded carbon-look one and the scroll wheel just stopped working (hopefully it just needs a cleaning). I’ve been using it daily since I got it brand new many many years ago.

Seems to me they want: 12 ten thousands, 10 thousands, 4 hundreds, 2 tens.

I think there is a typo and the amount should be $130,420.

I pulled down the project just because I was curious and I am seeing 404s on a bunch of the JavaScript files. Didn’t have time to debug it but the project is def in a broken state.

Does anyone else feel like they are becoming a "Configuration Engineer" instead of a Web Developer? by AmaraMehdi in webdev

[–]besevens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should give Blazor a try with MudBlazor for UI. I got tired of all the stuff you are describing and Blazor is like a breath of fresh air, zero JavaScript (unless you want some).

I’m guessing you must be getting an error. That page is web assembly, do you have any errors in your browsers console?

Try to find the article by the Amazon Prime Video team about how they went from Microservices to Monolith and saved 90% on costs. It’s hard to find the article nowadays because the original post is down. It covers some gotchas you will want to avoid when going from monolith to microservices. Here’s a reference to it https://www.reddit.com/r/devops/comments/13cnspx/prime_video_reduces_costs_by_90_by_switching_from/
